(Python) AI Engineer - Vice President

Description

The company is hiring a Vice President to work as an Application Development AI Engineer, a full-time role in Applications Development within the Technology group.

You are an experienced engineer who has built and grown resilient products that perform well, and who has designed sound, scalable software architectures.

A core part of the job is bringing AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin into engineering work to shorten delivery cycles, improve code quality and encourage new ideas across the team.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Management, Design and other business stakeholders so that technical solutions fit customer needs and market demand.
• Promote agile practices and continuous improvement so the team ships high-quality products on time and predictably.
• Keep up with trends in software architecture, microservices and artificial intelligence.
• Lead the assessment and adoption of new technologies and tools that improve engineering output and product features.
• Encourage hands-on use of AI-driven development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin, and other new tools, for coding, testing and debugging.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 4 years designing and building large distributed systems based on microservices.
• At least 4 years of deep knowledge of modern software architecture principles and framework design.
• At least 6 years of Python, with mastery of the language.
• At least 3 years designing APIs (REST, gRPC), data models and SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on skill using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin in a professional engineering setting.
• Full-stack experience: Java backend and React or Angular frontend.
• Direct experience building applications with the Google AI SDK, using models such as Gemini for complex reasoning and function calling.
• Experience designing multi-agent, stateful workflows with frameworks such as LangGraph.
• Proven ability to build advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, from data ingestion and chunking to vector database integration.
• Experience designing agent-to-agent (A2A) communication patterns that let autonomous agents collaborate on complex tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate large teams.
• Strong strategic thinking and business sense, with the ability to turn business needs into technical solutions.
• A drive to innovate and a forward-looking outlook.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.

Conditions

Full-time role with a salary range of $120,800.00 to $170,800.00 at the primary location.
