The role sits within the expansion of the Brno Development Center and involves working closely with the Innovation and Architecture team in Eindhoven while building up project execution in Brno.

The products combine electron optics and vacuum technology, precision mechanics and mechatronics, embedded electronics, scientific software and user interfaces, image acquisition and analysis, and manufacturing automation and system integration.

You will usually run several projects at once, from new product development and platform upgrades to technology introductions and cost-reduction work.

  • Report project status, risks, priorities and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage external suppliers and development partners where needed.
  • Prepare and lead project reviews and stage-gate deliverables.

  • Help knowledge move well between the Brno and Eindhoven teams.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering, physics or a related technical field.
  • Extensive experience developing complex high-tech products.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technical projects.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in an engineering setting.
  • Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, resource management and risk management.
  • Ability to understand and manage dependencies across mechanics, electronics, software and manufacturing.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience with structured development methods such as stage-gate, V-model, Agile or similar.
  • Ability to make decisions and keep progress moving in complex technical environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Optional: experience with SEM or scientific instrumentation, complex mechatronic products, external development partners, supplier management, product lifecycle management, or tools such as Jama and Jira would be an advantage.
