Program Manager 3

Description

The team in the company's aeronautics systems unit is hiring a Program Manager 3.

You would serve as Air Vehicle Manager, leading current and future major aircraft repair work on the B-2 program and the Air Combat Systems portfolio.

The role is based at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Lead every phase of a program from start to finish, keeping cost, schedule and technical performance on track.
• Take part in negotiating contracts and contract changes.
• Manage contact with customers, building lasting relationships that help shape future work.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, senior leaders and other program stakeholders.
• Support program reviews with internal and external customers.
• Plan and assign program resources, including staff, NCTA capital and facilities.
• Find, reduce and capture both risks and opportunities.
• Help plan pre-proposal work, including shaping RFPs, building the response strategy and producing capture materials.
• Help set the proposal approach, team roles, schedule and staffing needs.
• Lead proposals answering RFIs and RFPs from prime contractors, including kickoff and recurring stand-up meetings.
• Set the required proposal deliverables and check that proposals comply.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree plus 10 years of related experience, or a bachelor's in a STEM field plus 9 years.
• Or hold a master's degree plus 8 years of related experience, or a master's in a STEM field plus 7 years.
• Related experience can come from professional or military work in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts or business management.
• Show experience leading varied, diverse teams and managing several ongoing B-2 sustainment efforts, covering maintenance, repair and overhaul, Contract Field Team operations, aircrew training, mission planning, and logistics and communications programs.
• Show experience training and directing team members through a formal process.
• Hold an active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher, with a background investigation completed in the last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
• Be able to obtain and keep Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time, as the company determines.
• Preferred: experience with organization and leadership skills in building successful proposals for U.S. Air Force customers.
• Preferred: experience with B-2 sustainment operations.
• Preferred: active U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance with SCI and SAP clearance.

Travel is about 10% of the time.

The base location is Whiteman Air Force Base, MO.

The primary base salary range is $158,000.00 to $237,000.00. This is a general guideline, and the offer depends on scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
