Description

The company builds a cloud-hosted analytics database on top of a fast, fast-improving open source query engine, and its team works closely with that engine's creators.

The product connects local development with cloud operations, so it fits into both software and data engineering workflows.

The team is about 110 people and recently completed a Series B round, so the work moves quickly and your output can reach the website within days.

The role is for a product marketing manager who turns what engineers build into clear stories for developers and data teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning and messaging, and write the copy people read: website pages, landing pages, launch posts, one-pagers and emails.
  • Work with product, sales and leadership to define the target users, the product's key differences and how to explain them to technical buyers, and keep that messaging current as the product and market change.
  • Build landing pages, comparison pages, demos and interactive assets yourself, using AI tools where they speed things up instead of waiting on design or engineering.
  • Create battlecards, pitch decks, objection handling and competitive material that account executives and customer engineers use in live deals, and join sales calls to feed what you hear back into the messaging.
  • Plan and deliver product launches from start to finish with product, engineering, developer relations and growth.
  • Talk to users and track competitors such as Snowflake, Databricks and BigQuery, then turn those findings into sharper stories.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude to research, draft, prototype and ship, and help set how marketing uses AI.

Requirements

  • 3 to 10 years in product marketing, ideally at a B2B software or developer-focused company.
  • Strong writing that is clear, direct and specific, and that can make a technical idea understandable in one sentence.
  • A proven ability to position a product and show the change it made in the market.
  • Experience building web and landing pages, and the skill to publish them yourself with current tools.
  • A record of sales enablement materials that the sales team actually used in deals.
  • Real interest in technical products. You do not need to write SQL daily, but you want to understand how the product works.
  • Daily fluency with AI tools and eagerness to take that further.
  • A bias for action: you would rather ship a good version this week than a perfect one next quarter.

Conditions

The role can be based in the Seattle, San Francisco or New York City office.

Most of the week is spent in the office with the team, and the rest can be done from wherever you work best. The exact arrangement depends on the role and is agreed with your manager.

The company values thoughtfulness, flexibility, challenging default ways of working, including in marketing, and taking ownership of outcomes without waiting for permission.

Apply even if you do not meet every requirement. The company wants a diverse team and will seriously consider people whose other experience makes up the difference.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and stock options.
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage paid 100% for employees, with 80% coverage for dependents.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • 401k plan.
