Description

The company is hiring a technical product manager for the AI Content and Media Product team within Operations & Technology.

The company is a media and entertainment business, a subsidiary of a larger media group, that makes film, TV and streaming content and runs theme park experiences.

The team works across machine learning systems, large-scale media workflows, metadata standards and enterprise integrations, turning technical capabilities into production-ready products used across the company.

This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role. You will work closely with engineering, data science, program management and business stakeholders to deliver reliable value.

Responsibilities

  • Own one or more product areas and move work from discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Write product requirements and user stories based on how stakeholders work and what they need.
  • Work with engineering, data science, program management, product and Scrum teams to scope, build and ship GenAI features.
  • Keep an outcome-based roadmap grounded in customer insight, technical limits and business priorities, and drive it toward near- and mid-term goals.
  • Test features for functionality, accuracy and performance, and support demos and product reviews.
  • Maintain features after launch and use feedback to keep improving them.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors across the full lifecycle of each GenAI use case.
  • Present product updates, documentation, metrics and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Weigh model quality against performance, cost and latency alongside the technical teams.
  • Track emerging AI, LLM and machine learning technologies and relevant vendor offerings.
  • Help identify reusable GenAI patterns that can support future products.
  • Find ways to strengthen product capabilities, streamline operational processes and gain efficiency.
  • Mentor junior product managers through feedback, day-to-day guidance and shared execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, product development or a related technical role.
  • Proven experience as a product owner or technical product manager on complex, technology-driven products.
  • Ability to turn technical concepts and system behavior into clear requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and data science teams to deliver AI or data-driven products.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle several priorities in a fast-moving setting.
  • Solid working knowledge of agile methods and current product development practices.
  • Desired: strong collaboration skills and effective working relationships across teams.
  • Desired: advanced analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Desired: self-starter who is comfortable in an evolving, ambiguous problem space.
  • Desired: familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Airtable.
  • Desired: proficiency with Lucidchart, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Desired: experience in the media and entertainment industry.
  • Desired: knowledge of data governance, privacy, legal compliance, cybersecurity and ethical AI best practices.
  • Desired: experience writing, reviewing or contributing to code in modern programming languages.

Conditions

The role is currently hybrid, with in-office attendance at least four days per week.

Salary range: $110,000 - $145,000.

The company considers applicants with criminal histories in line with applicable fair chance laws, including those of Los Angeles and California where relevant.
