Description

The company is building the next generation of its Enterprise Data Management platform services. These are cloud-native, independently deployable data services that help large investment firms master, govern and distribute their data at scale.

The role suits a product leader with 10+ years in data management products or enterprise SaaS platforms. You would own the vision, roadmap and delivery of entity and identifier resolution, reference data management, extensible data models and resilient release management.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position working with engineering, architecture and client teams to turn complex platform problems into clear requirements, sequenced roadmaps and measurable client value.

The company's Alpha Data Platform is a SaaS product covering front-to-back investment workflows for global financial institutions. The data management services are being made more modular, scalable and easier for clients to deploy and run, which will shape growth of the data platform business and the pace and safety of client releases.

The company is one of the largest custodian banks, asset managers and asset intelligence firms in the world, serving institutional clients with investment servicing, data and analytics, research and trading, and investment management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap and business case for a set of foundational EDM platform services.
  • Lead product definition for a shared, multi-tenant entity resolution service that handles API, batch and event-driven requests across securities, issuers, accounts and other reference data.
  • Write requirements for configurable, client-specific matching rules that fit within enterprise-wide standards.
  • Lead the strategy for reference data such as countries, exchanges and currencies, from scoping through delivery.
  • Drive a metadata-driven model so clients can tailor data models without disrupting platform releases.
  • Make sure platform services can be upgraded or rolled back independently, with minimal impact on clients.
  • Write product requirements and lead structured design reviews with architecture and engineering.
  • Align engineering, architecture, operations, client delivery and go-to-market teams, managing dependencies and trade-offs across initiatives.
  • Set success metrics, track them, and report progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Work with clients, prospects and sales to validate requirements, support market data integrations and present the data platform offerings.
  • Coach product managers and business analysts toward technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management in enterprise data management, reference data or SaaS data platforms, including owning prioritization, trade-offs, timelines and go-to-market delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of investment data domains (securities, issuers, pricing, portfolios, transactions, corporate actions) and the front-to-back investment lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with security master, entity resolution, identifier cross-referencing and data lineage.
  • Solid technical understanding of cloud-native and microservices architecture, multi-tenant design, metadata-driven data models, and CI/CD and release practices.
  • Familiarity with major market data providers such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, MSCI and FactSet.
  • A record of leading complex, multi-workstream programs through ambiguity to deliver scalable platform capabilities.
  • Executive presence, with the ability to explain technical architecture as clear business value to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field. An MBA, an advanced degree, or progress toward CFA or CAIA is preferred.
  • Experience with investment management platforms such as Charles River IMS is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements, including international travel.
