Description

The viewing product team at the company's streaming service is looking for an energetic product manager to build and run tooling features. You will work with editorial and operations groups to keep metadata, CMS and experience management services ready for current and future product needs.

The role is part of a fast-moving push to change how people watch TV.

Responsibilities

  • Set the direction and plan for supply chain and CMS tooling, with the goal of growing the company's international streaming platforms.
  • Work with editorial, content and operations teams across several countries to learn what they need and decide what comes first.
  • Team up with product managers, designers, operations and engineers in the US and abroad to design and ship workflow improvements and new product features.
  • Build a working knowledge of the full stack, including video operations, content ingest, editorial publishing, metadata and live event management, so you can help teams deliver.
  • Turn hard problems into workable MVPs, explain the plan and vision, and win stakeholder agreement.
  • Help build a product culture within the streaming business.

Requirements

  • You have worked as a product manager or in a similar role before.
  • You have experience in technology or digital media, ideally with consumer-facing products.
  • Agile software development experience is preferred.
  • You have run feature A/B tests and refined features based on the results.
  • You have worked across several entertainment platforms such as iOS, Android, Amazon and Roku, and across areas like TV, movies, sports, news and kids.
  • You have analyzed metrics and run fast experiments.
  • You have a passion for building innovative, engaging consumer products and care about TV and entertainment.
  • You have empathy for users and want to make their lives simpler.
  • You can anticipate how viewing habits are changing.
  • You have a solid technical understanding, enough to hold technical discussions, challenge developers and ask sharp questions.
  • You can pull the key points out of large amounts of detailed information and settle on a clear approach.
  • You communicate well with both technical and non-technical people.
  • You keep looking for the right solution and keep iterating until it works.
  • You adapt quickly when priorities and deadlines shift.
  • You are positive, confident and energetic, and willing to learn.

Conditions

The position currently follows a hybrid schedule.

The company champions an inclusive culture and welcomes a wide range of people.
