Description

The company builds a household AI agent that handles the bills and admin people lack time for, acting on their behalf: switching energy suppliers, buying insurance, cancelling forgotten subscriptions and managing the family calendar.

Nearly 250,000 UK households have signed up, with another joining every minute.

The agent runs long workflows, since an energy switch can take weeks. A browser agent cancels subscriptions by reading the confirmation codes sent to a phone. Insurance purchases were a UK first, with the agent buying end to end after the regulatory principal approved it. The hard part is knowing when the LLM should defer to fixed rules, because an error could cost a customer real money.

The company has about 30 people running one agent across energy, broadband, mobile, insurance, mortgages and subscriptions, with more areas planned. Each area has its own suppliers, rules and failure modes. A person or small team owns each problem from discovery in the data or customer conversations through to the shipped fix, and the agent's actions show quickly whether a fix worked.

Engineers and PMs both build. An engineer launched the subscription cancellation product within a couple of months of joining, and a PM rebuilt the WhatsApp agent.

The company has grown more than 20x year on year, has an NPS above +80 and manages well over half a billion pounds of household spending. It has raised more than $30M from Heartcore, Mosaic and founders of Monzo, GoCardless, lastminute.com and Onfido.

The aim is a household life that is simpler, cheaper and fairer. Most of that work is still ahead.

Building practice: AI tools now let a PM prototype, query production data and push a production change in one afternoon, and let an engineer own a product area and choose what to build. Some PMs write code, and some engineers run products; one engineer owns the car insurance targets. The team is still working out what a squad should look like when everyone can build, and where process helps versus slows things down.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a squad covering a major part of the product and its service lines, and grow them by widening their scope, pulling the levers that drive performance (automation, new suppliers, member recommendations) and raising their commercial value.
  • Set the squad's OKRs and roadmap, establish sequencing, and push for quick, efficient delivery.
  • Assess what the squad ships and own the reporting, making sure the reports and the data behind them are sound.
  • Work across product and commercial on the suppliers and tariffs available, the regulation the business follows, and how both shape what gets built.
  • Run experiments and answer your own analysis questions without always waiting for an analyst.
  • Stay close to members and operations: read customer conversations, sit with the people handling edge cases, and fix the points in the journey where users drop off or get stuck.
  • Keep the squad moving by bringing order to fast-changing work, unblocking people and keeping morale up, while still building when needed.

Requirements

  • You have been a PM for a few years, ideally at a startup, and have owned a metric such as revenue, conversion or retention.
  • You have worked on the commercial side: a P&L, a supplier or partner relationship, pricing, or a full service line.
  • You are comfortable enough with data and code to unblock yourself.
  • You pick up complex problems quickly, lay out what you know and what you would check first, and change your view when new data arrives.
  • You adapt as the role and squad change, pick up whatever work is needed, and share rough thinking early.
  • You can bring delivery discipline to a fast squad: clear priorities, sensible sequencing, quick unblocking, and an honest review of what worked.
  • You look for the real problem behind a request, make trade-offs explicit and care about what users actually see.
  • You think in conversion, margin and lifetime value as well as features, and know what your area earned last month and why.
  • You enjoy startup pace, do unglamorous work yourself, and prefer shipping this week's version to polishing next quarter's.
  • You use AI tools such as Claude Code, or whatever works, to prototype, analyse data and ship changes. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should not be afraid of code.
  • Nice-to-have: you were a software engineer before moving into product.
  • Nice-to-have: you have worked on a transactional or regulated product such as insurance, fintech, energy or marketplaces.
  • Nice-to-have: you have built and shipped something of your own, such as a startup, side project or internal tool that took off.
  • This is probably not a fit if your PM experience is mainly roadmaps and stakeholder management at a large company, with no number you were accountable for.

Conditions

Management layers are kept deliberately thin. You will have few managers above you, so you can have impact without first being promoted to manage people. Colleagues help because they are invested, not because of reporting lines. If you need a remit handed down before you act, this may not suit you.

The first 90 days focus on reaching real ownership safely, with pairing when you want it, plenty of context and colleagues who want you to ship.

The role is office-first, near Farringdon, with heads-down work allowed when needed.

Equal opportunity: candidates who do not match every point are still encouraged to apply.

Compelling package including share options, with real salaries and shared upside.

Benefits

  • Share options in a company where everyone shares the upside.
  • A salary set to a real market level, funded by the fundraising to date.
  • An office set up for collaboration, with more whiteboards on the way.
  • Equipment, setup and training to help you do your best work.
  • Exposure to major decisions in a high-context environment, in the room as they happen.
  • Very good coffee and a well-stocked kitchen with a popular toastie maker.
  • A weekly informal social and a larger event each month.
  • 33 days paid holiday, including bank holidays.
  • Health and dental cash plans, including an employee assistance programme.
  • Travel support, including the cycle-to-work scheme and season ticket loans.
