Product Designer

Description

The company pays shoppers to buy. The app brings thousands of products from hundreds of brands into one place, with a single checkout and credit back on purchases.

The team needs a product designer to shape the look, feel and behavior of the product, from a shopper's first contact to the arrival of their order.

The work covers the iPhone and Android apps, the company's web shop and the platform brands use to list products. Designs you produce this week can ship within days.

Success looks like designs that ship every week and are built as they were drawn, a design system that every screen is built from, more new shoppers making a first purchase, and an app that shoppers find easy and fast.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from the first sketch to the shipped screen, including discovery, search, product pages, the bag and checkout.
• Design onboarding and the first order, the stage where new shoppers choose whether to keep using the app.
• Make earning and spending credit simple to follow and easy to trust.
• Extend the design system shared by iOS, Android and the web, covering type, color, spacing and components.
• Design touchpoints beyond the app, such as the web shop, the App Store listing, emails and launches.
• Speak with shoppers, observe how they use the app and study the data, then use what you learn to shape the next design.

Requirements

• You have 1+ year of experience designing consumer products, with shipped work on iOS, Android or the web.
• Your portfolio shows strong UX and visual design and how you moved from the problem to the solution.
• You are fluent in Figma and prototyping.
• You know Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design, and what makes an app feel native.
• You have built or grown a design system.
• You can explain your decisions, accept feedback well and work closely with engineers.
• You have shopping, marketplace or fintech experience.
• You have motion design experience or prototype in code.
• You have brand and marketing design experience.
• You write on-screen copy as carefully as you design the screen.
