Description

The company's app, device line and pet tracker help members keep track of the people, pets and things they care about, with location sharing, safe driver reports, and crash detection with emergency dispatch.

The service reaches about 102.4 million monthly active users as of June 30, 2026, in more than 180 countries.

The company has more than 500 employees, most of them remote, and the team is still growing.

The Services/Identity team in Foundations owns the systems that decide who members are and whether they can get in: account creation, sign-in, session management, and recovery for families in more than 180 countries. It works with Security, Engineering, Data, Customer Care, Legal/Privacy, and the Growth/Onboarding teams.

Every session starts with a sign-in: a parent checking a teen's first drive, an adult confirming an aging parent got home, a family sharing location on a trip. A wrong person getting in, or a member getting locked out, breaks trust. Identity guards the most sensitive data members have, so it must be easy and secure. The company wants a seasoned product leader with a clear view of how to achieve that at global scale.

This is a product leadership role, not a support role. You will own identity strategy from the sign-in screens down to the identity services, risk signals, and data models. You will set the quality bar, define the success metrics, and align engineering, security, privacy, care, and leadership. You will work with Foundations and Enterprise leaders to build the practices and knowledge that keep accounts safe.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and roadmap for authentication and authorization, covering registration, member access, session management, credential lifecycle, and CIAM integration across mobile, web, partner integrations, and agentic connectors, from the member experience down to the services behind it.
  • Design account recovery that returns real members quickly without giving an attacker a way in. Treat recovery as a security surface, not just a support flow.
  • Work with Security on Enterprise Tech to anticipate account takeover, credential stuffing, phishing, SIM swaps, and social engineering aimed at support channels, and build layered defenses before the problems show up in the data.
  • Lead the roadmap for passkeys, passwordless and phishing-resistant sign-in, step-up and risk-based authentication, and device-bound sessions. Drive adoption while keeping older devices and low-connectivity markets working well.
  • Design identity for 180+ countries: phone-number-first habits, SMS and OTP delivery and cost, carrier and device differences, localization, and regional regulations.
  • Handle the identity questions specific to a family product: teen and minor accounts, age assurance, parental consent, circle membership, and who can see what, meeting obligations such as COPPA and GDPR.
  • Define company-wide identity and trust KPIs, including account takeover rate, sign-in success, recovery success, time to recover, false positive rate, support contacts per account issue, and passkey adoption, so teams can move fast on a solid foundation.
  • Drive the telemetry, fraud signals, and detection approach so teams can see abuse, friction, and drop-off across the full identity journey.
  • Turn threat models, incident lessons, and identity data into clear executive briefings: where exposure exists, what it costs, and where to invest now.
  • Work with growth, subscriptions, partnerships, and Customer Care so identity decisions serve every product and integration that depends on them.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including substantial time at principal or staff level with cross-functional scope.
  • Hands-on ownership of consumer identity, authentication, account security, or trust products at scale, ideally for a global consumer app with tens or hundreds of millions of users.
  • Fluent in threat modeling, account takeover, fraud and abuse, MFA, passkeys, FIDO2, WebAuthn, OAuth, OIDC, session management, and credential security, and able to engage security engineers and the CISO's team as an equal.
  • Real empathy for members: you picture the locked-out parent or worried teen at the other end of every flow.
  • Full-stack product sense: comfortable with backend identity services and APIs, and equally committed to mobile and web login, onboarding, and recovery UX.
  • Experience launching and running identity flows across many countries, regulatory regimes, languages, devices, and carriers.
  • Working knowledge of privacy, compliance, and identity standards such as NIST 800-63, GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA. Experience with minors' accounts or age assurance is a plus.
  • Experience aligning large, matrixed organizations, including Engineering, Security, Legal, Privacy, and Customer Support.
  • Strong analytical instincts: you use quantitative data and qualitative signals to define what good looks like, run experiments, and hold the bar.
  • Clear written and verbal communication that turns complex security and technical realities into business priorities for varied audiences.
  • High ownership and bias for action: you spot the problem and bring in the right people without waiting to be asked.
