Description

The commerce product design team owns the experience for people who are considering a subscription, from first contact through offers to checkout. It also covers existing customers who upgrade, downgrade or cancel.

This role focuses on account management, consumer checkout and initial account creation.

You will report to the Senior Director of Product Design for Commerce and lead the design of how customers discover, buy, manage, change or cancel a subscription through device partners such as Samsung TV, Roku, Apple TV, and mobile or tablet platforms.

You will help make AI-enabled commerce features feel smooth, natural and consistent across every platform.

The company is a leading media and entertainment business. It runs broadband, broadcast, streaming, mobile and connected-device products, and it is moving fast with new releases such as the company Glass and SkyQ.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX design for high-value consumer digital commerce products on web, mobile and connected devices.
  • Turn requirements into clear user flows, reusing proven patterns where they fit and designing new journeys where they do not, including edge cases and cross-device details.
  • Set the creative direction, run ideation and workshops, and take concepts through evaluation, build, testing and launch.
  • Use research, usability testing and experiments to learn what works and keep improving the experience.
  • Work with product management, engineering, content design and other teams to set product strategy and ship experiences to market.
  • Lead, mentor and grow designers, build solid design practices, report progress to leadership and clear blockers for the team.
  • Have extensive UX or product design experience, including senior design leadership and solid knowledge of the full design process.
  • Have designed commerce journeys such as account management, subscription purchase, authorisation, transactions, upgrades, downgrades or cancellation.
  • Bring a strong online portfolio of shipped, in-market products that shows a clear end-to-end design approach.
  • Be advanced in Figma and experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch or other collaboration and prototyping tools.
  • Apply strong research and analysis skills, using data and customer insight to guide decisions.
  • Communicate, present and partner with stakeholders well, including influencing senior product, business and executive leaders.
  • Hold a degree in design, computer science, human factors design or a related field.
  • Have used AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Augment or ChatGPT.
  • Have designed across web, mobile and other application platforms.
  • Work in a collaborative, resilient and adaptable way, and prioritise across several workstreams in a fast-paced setting.
