Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, Sky Stream to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate. We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love. And we do it all right here at Sky.

Role/Team overview

Global Streaming Technology

Global Streaming Technology (GST) serves tens of millions of customers around the world through multiple international streaming services: Peacock across the US; NOW, WOW and Sky Showtime covering nearly 30 markets in Europe; and Showmax for over 40 countries in Africa. The Global Streaming Technology organization brings together engineering and operational talent across the US, UK, Portugal, Czech Republic and India.

Our Global Streaming Platform enables leading entertainment brands to stream internationally and engage large, diverse audiences with premium content—on any device, anywhere, anytime. Working with and trusted by the world’s most prestigious content makers and rights holders—such as the NFL, NBA, English Premier League, Olympics and major Hollywood studios including Universal—we ensure that our Global Streaming Platform delivers the highest standards of performance, reliability, security and innovation.

Working in GST means joining a truly global team at the forefront of streaming technology. Here, you will collaborate with talented colleagues across multiple countries and disciplines, work with cutting-edge technologies that reach tens of millions of viewers worldwide, and be part of a dynamic, inclusive culture that values your ideas and supports your professional growth.

[Please note, this is a 6-month FTC position although there may be potential for this position to become permanent at the end of the tenure.]

What you’ll do

Define and own the roadmap for advertising innovation and international advertising capabilities, aligning priorities to revenue growth, user experience, experimentation, market expansion, and scalable global platform development.

Lead the end-to-end delivery of advertising initiatives, from discovery and definition through development, launch, measurement, and ongoing optimisation.

Create clear product requirements, narratives, updates, and decision materials that communicate vision, priorities, trade-offs, KPIs, risks, sequencing, and business outcomes to a wide range of stakeholders.

Prioritise opportunities and investment decisions using customer impact, business value, technical feasibility, market readiness, regulatory requirements, and data-driven insights.

Partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, QA, Ad Operations, Analytics, Research, and Data Science teams to manage delivery, testing, dependencies, performance measurement, and launch readiness.

Drive the rollout of advertising capabilities across new and existing markets, working with Commercial, Legal, Consent, Operations, and local market teams to deliver compliant, scalable solutions while addressing market-specific requirements and adoption challenges.

Own the experimentation and optimisation backlog, defining hypotheses, success metrics, testing frameworks, and performance analysis to identify revenue opportunities, improve customer experiences, and inform product evolution, while maintaining awareness of competitive advertising offerings, emerging ad tech capabilities, industry trends, and operational best practices.

Act as a senior product leader across Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Sports, Research, Legal, Ad Operations, and market stakeholders, building alignment on roadmap priorities and delivery decisions while promoting strong product practices, collaborative ways of working, and informed decision-making.

What you’ll bring

Essential criteria:

Proven experience in senior product management roles within streaming, digital media, advertising technology, or other complex platform-based businesses.

Strong knowledge of digital advertising products and ad experiences, including ad serving, SSAI, measurement, ad operations, experimentation, monetisation models, and emerging advertising technologies.

Demonstrated success managing products through the full lifecycle, from strategy and discovery through to requirements, development, launch, optimisation, and retirement.

Experience delivering products across multiple markets, geographies, regulatory environments, commercial models, and diverse stakeholder groups.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to use data, research, competitive insights, business context, KPIs, experimentation outcomes, and performance reporting to inform prioritisation, optimisation recommendations, and executive decision-making.

Proficiency in applying AI tools and capabilities to support innovation, improve product outcomes, and enhance advertising experiences.

Commercially minded and customer-focused, with the ability to balance monetisation goals, market expansion opportunities, platform scalability, and user experience in a clear product vision.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently, build credibility quickly, translate ambiguity into clear plans and measurable outcomes, and engage effectively with technical teams, commercial partners, market stakeholders, and senior leaders.
