Principal Engineer Software (AHT)

Description

The defense systems group in Beavercreek, Ohio is hiring a full stack software engineer for a role spanning much of the software lifecycle, with a focus on software engineering.

You would build web-based solutions and connect them within a cloud-based microservice architecture.

The company is a long-established defense and aerospace business, and the team works closely with other software developers.

Responsibilities

• Help the team deliver required software on schedule.
• Work on your own and as part of an Agile team.
• Find creative, workable answers to hard technical problems.
• Work with software designers and engineers on planning, design, development, and use of software systems.
• Show progress to customers on a regular basis.
• Take part in the full software development lifecycle, mainly on engineering work.
• Build web-based solutions and integrate them into a cloud-based microservice architecture.

Requirements

• Hold one of the following: a high school diploma with at least 9 years of software development experience, a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years, or a master's degree with at least 3 years.
• Have full stack web development experience.
• Have working knowledge of Agile development processes.
• Communicate clearly with small technical teams and build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Set priorities and adjust tasks to deliver project results.
• Understand and analyze complex problems and design solutions.
• Be a U.S. citizen holding an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Be familiar with the TheraForge software suite.

Conditions

A TS/SCI clearance is required to start.

Travel is expected at about 10% of the time.

No relocation assistance is offered.

The primary salary range is $103,600.00 to $155,400.00, a general guideline; actual base pay depends on the scope and responsibilities of the role, your experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
