Presales System Engineer - K12 and Local Government - Utah

This role is designated remote for teleworkers, so you will mainly work from home.

The company is an edge-to-cloud business that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications. Its networking business is growing and now includes product lines added to its portfolio.

This is a presales systems engineer role for an experienced engineer ready for the next step in their career. You will work with account teams, partners and customers to design and position advanced networking solutions for digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Build deep knowledge of the full networking portfolio, including wired and wireless, access control, cloud management, switching, routing, security and automation.
• Support sales teams by learning customer needs, shaping designs, and giving technical presentations and demos.
• Create architectures and proposals that match customer goals, and lead proof-of-concept work.
• Take part in advanced training and certifications on the company's technologies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and partners so solutions are positioned well and adopted by customers.

Requirements

• You have 5+ years in networking infrastructure, including prior work as a networking systems engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience in networking design, installation, services or support is desired.
• You have a background in government (state, local or federal), K12, enterprise or service provider settings.
• You understand network design principles and protocols.
• You communicate clearly, present well and solve problems effectively.
• Preferred: you understand SLED and enterprise environments and their procurement processes.
• Preferred: you are interested in network automation, AI-driven operations and cloud-managed networking.

Conditions

You must live in the greater Utah area and travel regularly to customer sites within Utah.

This is a sales job graded TCP04.

The expected pay range in Utah is USD 151,500 to 355,000 per year, covering base and target sales compensation at 100% of the sales plan, split 75% base and 25% target sales pay. Actual offers may fall outside this range based on location, experience, education, training or skill level.
