Description

The role is in the Personal Health Care business category, supporting new product initiatives for the Respiratory and Sleep franchise. The location is the Mason Bus and Innovation Center.

The business is growing quickly, and the team is launching new products through a defined initiative process. You would be a core member of a project team, giving quality assurance leadership and guidance so that quality expectations and technical readiness are met at every phase, up to launch.

The work covers consumer and clinical studies, material qualifications, stability, validation, sale samples and launch activities. You will need to understand and apply the rules for drug products, cosmetics, dietary supplements and consumer goods.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the QA work each project needs, on the timing the project team sets, and pass on any learnings or issues that could affect the project.
  • Manage quality and compliance risk: identify it, report it to leadership, work with other functions to assess it, and make sure the right actions are taken.
  • Use data to reach sound decisions and recommendations, even when opinions conflict or pressure is high. Coach and manage others inside and outside QA, and escalate issues to R&D and QA leadership when a decision is needed.
  • Work across many functions and locations, inside and outside the company, and manage your own priorities while helping others manage theirs.
  • Find the information you need, get access to systems quickly, and learn and use internal tools and user procedures efficiently.
  • Understand the basis of quality systems, metrics and goals. Follow the work processes, procedures and SOPs, spot where they break down, and do basic troubleshooting.
  • Understand, interpret, follow and improve the policies and procedures that govern work in a quality and regulated environment, whether they come from internal or external requirements.
  • Find and follow the technical standards for your assignments, and understand the needs of internal and external customers and suppliers as they relate to those standards.

Requirements

  • Preferred: experience in a regulated or highly regulated business, and QA experience. Knowledge of R&D processes and product launch is beneficial.
  • Preferred: a Bachelor's degree in engineering, the physical sciences (such as chemistry or microbiology) or health care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and strong technical skills.

Conditions

Pay depends on factors such as office location, role, degree or credentials, relevant skills and relevant experience, and is decided case by case without discrimination. Total rewards are salary, plus bonus where applicable, plus benefits. Your recruiter can share the total rewards details and the salary range for your location during hiring.
