The team is Intelligent Operations, part of the Technology and Operations group within the forward deployed engineering (FDE) organisation for AI work with industry customers.
The group makes sure deployed AI solutions stay quality-checked, secure and useful over time. Your job is to build the platform infrastructure that keeps those solutions running at enterprise scale.
Intelligent Operations owns what happens after go-live. The Application Engineering team runs the solutions day to day, and you build the platform they work on.
The capability is being set up now, and this is a technical leadership role.
Responsibilities
Build monitoring, alerting and tracing for deployed AI agents and applications, covering model behaviour, agent orchestration health and business SLA metrics in one view.
Create CI/CD pipelines for production AI solutions across customer-managed and company-managed AI platform environments, so that updates, patches and rollbacks are safe, repeatable and quick.
Design automation that provisions, configures and maintains production environments at scale, including environments run by partners.
Define SLI and SLO frameworks for AI-native solutions, and build error budgets, incident response tooling and post-mortem processes that feed improvements back into the platform.
Build automated compliance checks, access management and data boundary controls into the platform, working with Engineering Excellence to keep enterprise standards in every production environment.
Mentor engineers, set platform standards and shape the tooling strategy.
Work with delivery squads, operations engineers, engineering excellence, external partners and the BAIP platform teams on infrastructure questions.
Requirements
You have built and run production platforms, including CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks and infrastructure automation.
You have deep experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems and reliability engineering.
You have worked in environments where security posture and compliance are strict requirements.
You understand how AI-native solutions behave in production, including different monitoring, failure modes and deployment patterns.
Experience with agentic systems, LLM-based applications or AI-enabled platform operations helps you get started faster.
You know how to build platform capabilities that scale without relying on heroics.
You have set standards that other teams follow and built platforms that other teams depend on.
Skills for this role include Agentic AI Day-to-Day Practice, AI Adoption Capability, AI Output Quality Assurance, Context Engineering, AI-Assisted Automation and Prototyping, Learning Agility, Collaboration, Complex Problem Solving, Creative Thinking, Effective Communication, Cloud Architecture, Observability, AI Governance Operations, Agentic Orchestration and Scalability.
Conditions
You will work globally across FDE squads and hubs, with external delivery partners and with the BAIP platform teams.
Referral program eligibility applies only to permanent positions.
The company supports equal opportunity and provides accommodations for applicants with disabilities on request.
Benefits
Learning and development opportunities to help you build on your skills.
