The company connects ambitious software engineers with the companies that want to hire them, and the team is early enough that your work will shape how the channels grow.
You will work with the founders and the Head of Growth on paid acquisition.
You do not need to tick every box to apply. If this role sounds like you, apply anyway.
Interview process: a 30 minute talent screen with Becca, Head of Talent; a 45 minute hiring manager interview with Rob, Head of Growth; a short paid acquisition audit and plan to complete at home; then in person, a 60 minute task review with Rob and the growth team, a 45 minute culture and values interview, and a 30 minute final interview with Paddy, CEO and founder.
Responsibilities
Paid acquisition is a major growth lever, and its scale is about to rise sharply.
Google Search, LinkedIn and Meta are running today. New formats and channels are coming, and over the next year paid will reach more markets and both sides of the business: the engineers who use the product and the companies that hire through it.
Run the paid channels day to day. Decide where budget goes, launch and test campaigns quickly, and measure each channel by the quality of candidates it brings in rather than clicks or cheap signups.
The in-house creative lead, writers and UGC creators make the creative. You brief them, test what they produce and scale what performs.
As the channels mature, take on client-side acquisition, open new channels, and build your own AI tools to work faster.
Manage Google Search, LinkedIn and Meta, covering structure, budgets, bidding, audiences and daily optimisation.
Launch new campaigns within days. Keep a steady run of tests across audiences, formats and landing pages.
Judge channels by good candidates and those put forward to clients. Make sure conversion tracking and attribution are accurate with the data team, and send quality signals back to the platforms.
Write creative briefs, share what is working with the creative team, and stop what is not.
Open new channels as the company grows, such as YouTube, Performance Max, retargeting and new markets.
Extend paid activity into client acquisition, reaching heads of talent, engineering leaders and founders.
Manage the paid media agency and any contractors, and bring more of the work in-house over time.
Report on spend and results each week, and state clearly what you would change.
Requirements
Hands-on performance marketing experience, managing real budgets yourself across paid search and paid social.
Meta and LinkedIn experience matters most.
Experience at a tech company, or ready for a first in-house role after a couple of years at a strong agency.
Focus on what happens after the click: you have optimised for downstream quality, not only cost per lead, and set up tracking you trust.
Comfortable with data: you can pull your own numbers, spot anomalies and explain results without relying on a dashboard to do it.
You move fast and prefer shipping a test today to planning one for a week.
You use AI tools every day and are happy building small tools, scripts or agents. You do not need to be an engineer.
Nice to have: performance marketing experience for both consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) audiences, ideally at more than one tech company.
Nice to have: experience working closely with a creative studio or running UGC at volume, so you know what a good brief looks like.
