Palantir Forward Deployed Engineer (Secret cleared)

This role leads the build of a mission-critical workforce planning and decision-support product on Palantir Foundry and AIP. You will work directly with operational users, stakeholders, and leaders to turn complicated workforce and resource allocation problems into software that scales, and you will own the work from discovery through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver applications in Palantir Foundry and AIP.
• Create data pipelines, Ontologies, and Workshop applications.
• Build capabilities for workforce planning, optimization, scheduling, and decision support.
• Implement AI-driven workflows, scenario analysis, and recommendations that can be explained.
• Work closely with end users to prototype quickly and get solutions into use.
• Lead technical delivery and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• You are a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• You have built production applications in Palantir Foundry yourself.
• You have experience with Palantir AIP and AI-enabled workflows.
• You have deep knowledge of Foundry Ontology, Workshop, data pipelines, permissions, and governance.
• You are a strong developer in Python, SQL, TypeScript, Java, or a similar language.
• You have connected enterprise data sources, APIs, and operational systems.
• You can turn complex operational needs into software that scales.
• You can work full time onsite in the DC area.
• Preferred: you have worked as a Palantir FDE, Deployment Strategist, or Certified Developer.
• Preferred: you have used OSDK, Agent Studio, AIP Logic, TypeScript Functions, or custom Foundry applications.
• Preferred: you have a background in workforce planning, optimization, operations research, logistics, or resource allocation.
• Preferred: you have supported government, healthcare, logistics, defense, or other mission-critical environments.

Conditions

The role is full time and onsite in the DC area.

The base pay range is $89,000 to $179,200 USD for roles in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, as local law requires. Actual pay depends on location, role, skill set, and experience.
