We are looking for

OT Security Engineer (Physical Security Systems) supporting the Protective Security Sector within the Security Unit. The position is based in Strasbourg, France.

In this role, you will protect the network and infrastructure behind the Agency’s physical security systems, such as access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and security management platforms. You will be a hands-on technical practitioner who assesses, hardens and improves this environment, working closely with the Physical Security Systems Administrators, ICT colleagues and external service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular security assessments of servers, workstations, network devices and administration interfaces supporting physical security systems
  • Identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, excessive privileges and possible attack vectors
  • Maintain vulnerability registers, track remediation and verify that corrective actions are effective
  • Implement corrective measures directly or coordinate them with technical stakeholders, and escalate unresolved risks
  • Develop and maintain security baselines and hardening standards, and check compliance with them
  • Support secure authentication, privileged access management and secure administration practices
  • Assess LAN, VLAN and network segmentation, and the security impact of integrations and third-party connections
  • Recommend and implement improvements to network segregation, access restrictions and resilience
  • Contribute security expertise to infrastructure upgrades and the deployment of new security capabilities
  • Produce technical reports and regular reporting on the security posture of the physical security infrastructure
  • Monitor security advisories and threat developments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security standards

Requirements

  • A university degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in network security, infrastructure security, cybersecurity or technical security assessment
  • Proven hands-on experience in performing security assessments, analysing network and system configurations and hardening systems yourself (the role is not limited to governance, policy or audit coordination)
  • Sound knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, LAN/VLAN architectures, network segmentation, OS security, patch management and privileged access management
  • A valid Personnel Security Clearance at EU CONFIDENTIAL level or higher, or an equivalent national clearance recognised by an EU Member State
  • Good command of written and spoken English and French (minimum B2 in both)
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, GIAC or CCNP Security, and experience with access control, CCTV or intrusion detection systems, are a strong advantage

Benefits

  • WE OFFER an opportunity to work in a prestigious EU Agency within a multicultural environment, with a gross hourly rate of EUR 35.74.
  • Become part of a multicultural work environment and submit your CV in English and Europass format by 4 November 2026.
