Nearshore Sector | UEM Engineer / Ivanti MDM Administrator

Description

The company is hiring a UEM Engineer / Ivanti MDM Administrator for its nearshore team in Portugal, managing the corporate iOS and Android mobile fleet across the organisation.

The role supports a distributed workforce and works with global IT infrastructure teams on device provisioning, security compliance and endpoint performance.

Responsibilities

• Run the Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (formerly MobileIron Core/Cloud) console every day.
• Enrol and manage devices through their full lifecycle using Apple Business Manager (DEP/VPP), Android Enterprise (Zero-Touch) and Samsung Knox.
• Build, test and roll out compliance rules, configuration profiles for Wi-Fi, VPN and certificates, and user groups.
• Package, deploy and keep up to date public and internal line-of-business (LOB) mobile apps.
• Handle Level 2 and Level 3 escalations for complex mobile incidents, including log analysis of Ivanti Sentry gateways and mobile OS logs.
• Give hands-on, rapid support to executive and VIP users through the White Glove service.
• Maintain integrations with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), PKI, SAML and SSO authentication flows.
• Track iOS and Android updates so devices are ready on release day and stay compliant.
• Write technical processes, SOPs and knowledge base articles for L1 support teams.
• Support onboarding and offboarding of corporate mobile devices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven experience running MDM or UEM platforms, with strong focus on Ivanti or MobileIron. Experience with Intune, Workspace ONE or Jamf is also considered.
• 3 to 5 years of overall IT experience in infrastructure or digital workplace environments.
• Strong knowledge of iOS, iPadOS and Android Enterprise, and of BYOD, COPE and COBO enrolment models.
• Hands-on work with Apple Business Manager, Android Zero-Touch and Samsung Knox portals.
• Solid grasp of core network and identity services: Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, OAuth, SSO and PKI/certificates.
• Familiarity with secure gateways (Ivanti Sentry or Access) and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira, plus ITIL processes.
• Strong analytical, root-cause and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills, empathy for users, and fluent English.
