The role sits in the IT Technology Operations division of the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA. NCIS is the Department of the Navy component that leads criminal investigation, law enforcement, counterterrorism, counterintelligence and cyber matters. It has about 2,000 personnel, with 700 at headquarters and the rest at offices worldwide. It also holds exclusive investigative jurisdiction over non-combat criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage and subversion cases across the DON.
The job supports the agency's work against criminal, terrorist and foreign intelligence threats to the DON at sea, on land and in cyberspace. You will help build a data hub that takes in raw data, including law enforcement data, and turns it into clean, usable datasets for analysis, visualization and machine learning. The goal is to grow the data ecosystem with richer context while keeping the agility to try new ideas.
The company is a global technology and professional services firm with about 26,000 staff in more than 50 countries. It serves U.S. government, defense and intelligence customers in AI, cloud, cyber and software development.
