Description

VCCP is the global challenger network for challenger brands. With more than 1,500 people across 13 offices in North America, EMEA and APAC, we challenge convention to create value for the world’s most ambitious organisations.

Our founding belief is It Only Works If It All Works. That’s why we bring specialists from every discipline - strategy, AI, data, media, digital, experience, branding, creativity, production, PR, CX, CRM, employee engagement and beyond - into one fully integrated challenger network.

We were founded on the principles of simplicity, collaboration and un-preciousness, and we’ve grown by staying true to them. Today, our clients include some of the world’s most recognisable and progressive brands, such as Virgin Media O2, Barclays, Cadbury, Compare the Market, Domino’s, White Claw, easyJet, Primark and Co-op.

VCCP has topped the AAR’s annual new business ranking in 13 of the last 14 years and holds multiple Agency of the Year titles. Across every company and every capability, we share the same ambition: to challenge ourselves, challenge our clients and challenge the industry for the better.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting into the Head of Design, VCCP Loyalty & CRM, as a midweight designer, your focus will be to work alongside two senior designers across all loyalty & CRM accounts.
  • Interest in the world of loyalty & CRM is vital to the role, with particular focus on designing for email, as is a huge enthusiasm for creating brilliant design in the discipline. We’re ambitious to offer the very best work in this sector, competing with specialist loyalty & CRM agencies as well as other integrated agencies.
  • You’ll be working hands-on on briefs, ensuring all the work meets best practice standards and is bang on brand. It will be your responsibility to help push the loyalty & CRM design work, working collaboratively with the team to create the best, most effective work possible.
  • You’ll have experience in working on new business pitches, and enjoy doing so. You’ll also be proactive in looking for new opportunities to create outstanding work for existing clients.
  • You’ll work closely with creative teams to craft outstanding finished work. You’ll also work collaboratively with copywriters to create brilliant communications from scratch.
  • Taking ownership of the design process from brief through to final execution
  • Create engaging, impactful designs across a number of channels – primarily email, web, social, presentations and DM
  • Working closely with senior designers, art directors, copywriters, strategy and account teams to develop and improve the work, making it the best it can be.
  • Understanding of technical constraints and how they will impact the creative, helping educate stakeholders where necessary
  • Managing time and multiple projects to ensure that work is delivered on time and on budget
  • Creative problem solving to find design solutions that align with client guidelines, objectives and all technical requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design software, and emerging technologies to continuously help improve design processes and deliver cutting-edge designs.
  • Presenting your work both internally and externally to clients, dealing professionally with feedback and managing expectations.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and third-party developers to ensure designs are fit for purpose
  • ROLE SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Be passionate, not precious. Be willing to muck in at all levels.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn from the team and adapt with the role
  • Working proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and AI tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour and layout.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas
  • Real-world experience of using AI image and video tools, and a strong desire to learn more about the opportunities
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design projects
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Ability to work to deadlines on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners

Requirements

  • A passion for all things creative and advertising
  • Thrive on working in a high energy and fast paced environment, where no two days are the same

  • Friendly and approachable
  • Build rapport and able to quickly establish excellent working relationships
  • Live and breathe the agency’s values
