The company makes memory and storage products. Its Smart Manufacturing and AI team is hiring a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) engineer.
The role joins applied agentic AI engineering with production systems work. You design AI agents and the data pipelines behind them, then ship them.
The aim is measurable manufacturing impact from large data sets and heavy compute, with work that reaches silicon production.
You will work alongside data scientists, data engineers and expert users.
The team suits people who enjoy hard, large-scale problems and who turn research prototypes into production systems.
Responsibilities
Build autonomous agents that reason across several steps, plan, and run tools to automate complex manufacturing workflows.
Wire agentic frameworks so LLMs can interact with internal APIs, databases and software tools.
Build and maintain evaluation harnesses that measure agent accuracy, reliability and task success on multi-step workflows.
Profile agent and inference workloads, such as tool-call latency and multi-agent orchestration, using tools like PyTorch Profiler, LangSmith and OpenTelemetry, then remove compute and latency bottlenecks.
Build interoperable multi-agent systems using the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), including MCP tools, plugins and skills.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines that deploy AI agents to Kubernetes and containerized cloud environments.
Add security controls to agents, including sandboxing, access control, and defenses against prompt injection and tool misuse.
Mentor engineers on agentic system design and optimization techniques.
Requirements
A technical degree, bachelor's or master's, in computer science, statistics or a related field is required.
Preferred: a Ph.D.
Hands-on experience optimizing inference engines such as vLLM or TensorRT-LLM for agent and LLM workloads.
Experience building GenAI applications and AI agents with one or more frameworks.
Working knowledge of LLMs, including prompt engineering, function calling and tool use, and chain-of-thought reasoning.
