Description

The company is a technology firm within a global consulting group, focused on the US federal government. With more than 13,000 people, it serves clients in defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health.

This role has two halves: keeping the marketing technology, data, and processes behind campaigns running well, and running agile delivery across several workstreams at once.

You are an organized, hands-on operator who works comfortably in marketing platforms and data, and who can also lead team ceremonies, handle competing priorities, and help teams meet changing business goals.

You will work on your own while building working relationships with product, marketing, creative, content, operations, and client stakeholders. You will help raise the quality of operations, the visibility of delivery, and the agile practice across the group.

The role sits within a marketing and communications team that supports product and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Run and improve marketing technology such as marketing automation, CRM, and campaign tools, and keep the integrations between them working.
  • Build, test, and launch emails, forms, landing pages, and audience segments that meet agreed standards and dates.
  • Oversee lead and contact data, including routing, scoring, lifecycle stages, list cleanup, and naming rules. Document workflows and platform standards so the work can be repeated.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and recurring reports on campaigns, funnel numbers, and operational health, then turn the results into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Help marketing product teams plan, set priorities, manage the backlog, and carry out delivery.
  • Lead Agile events, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, reviews, and backlog refinement.
  • Juggle several timelines, dependencies, and competing priorities across teams, tracking progress, spotting risks, and pushing issues to resolution.
  • Work with team leads and stakeholders to agree on priorities, capacity, and delivery commitments, and keep team performance visible through reports, metrics, and status updates.
  • Coach teams on Agile practice and build a habit of continuous improvement by finding ways to simplify processes, automate manual tasks, and work better.

Requirements

  • Have 2+ years in marketing operations, marketing technology, or campaign operations, and/or in a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Project Manager, or similar role supporting cross-functional product or marketing teams. Experience in both areas is strongly preferred.
  • Have hands-on work with a marketing automation platform such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or Eloqua, plus a CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics. Know marketing data and metrics, including funnel reporting and list management.
  • Have led agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Know Agile and Scrum principles well, including backlog management, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Have managed several concurrent workstreams, timelines, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities in a fast-moving delivery setting.
  • Be proficient with work-management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence, and with reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI. Use them to build delivery metrics, dashboards, and executive-level status updates that show progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Have worked with product, marketing, creative, content, operations, and client stakeholder groups.
  • Bonus: Scrum or Agile certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent.
  • Bonus: Working knowledge of SQL, HTML/CSS, or workflow automation tools.
  • Bonus: Experience in a marketing agency, professional services, or client-facing environment.
