Description

The company has spent more than 25 years building graphics, PC gaming and accelerated computing technology. It is now pushing AI toward the next phase of computing, where GPUs, CPUs and accelerated infrastructure run machines that can perceive and act on the physical world.

This role owns the company's marketing presence across a set of open source foundations and communities tied to its HPC, hyperscale and accelerated computing platforms. PyTorch is the main anchor and one of the company's deepest foundation relationships. The other communities cover scientific computing, language ecosystems and systems software, including the Rust Foundation, Python Software Foundation, NumFOCUS, Scientific Python, and related groups in Julia, NixOS and the GNU toolchain. The job is to make the company visible and active in these communities by getting technical content into foundation channels, sitting on marketing committees, running conference presence and building trust with developers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's marketing work across open source foundations, with PyTorch as the primary focus and the Rust Foundation, Python Software Foundation (PSF), NumFOCUS and Scientific Python as the other core communities.
  • Work with engineering, product and developer relations teams to get relevant technical content into foundation channels.
  • Support the company's presence at PyTorch Conference, PyCon, RustConf, SciPy and other open source events alongside the events team.
  • Sit on foundation marketing committees and working groups on the company's behalf, and build relationships with foundation leaders and member companies.
  • Build and run AI agents, automated workflows and dashboards that track community activity, plan content, monitor deadlines and produce reports.
  • Keep internal stakeholders aligned and measure program results, including content reach, conference participation, community engagement and budget performance.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in developer marketing, technical community management or open source ecosystem programs.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools, agents and automation to cut manual work and improve the quality, speed and transparency of a program or marketing effort.
  • Hands-on experience working with open source foundations in a marketing or program role, including committee participation, content programs and conference presence.
  • Enough technical knowledge of AI/ML, scientific computing or a related field to understand what each community values and judge whether company content suits a given audience.
  • A track record of running several programs at once, including content calendars, conference timelines, committee work and budgets across multiple communities.
  • Strong marketing judgement: you can present the company's contributions in a way that matters to open source developers without sounding like a press release.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills. Foundation staff, community members and internal teams rely on you to deliver and represent them well.
  • Nice to have: a portfolio of automations, agents, dashboards or workflows you built yourself to improve program execution, community monitoring, content tracking, reporting or outreach.
  • Nice to have: direct experience with the PyTorch Foundation, NumFOCUS, Scientific Python, PSF or Rust Foundation at marketing committee, working group or conference program committee level.
  • Nice to have: experience running developer conference programs end to end, including abstract submissions, sponsorship packages, booth operations and side events.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with the company's developer ecosystems and tools such as CUDA, PyTorch, JAX, vLLM, SGLang, or the wider accelerated computing and AI stack.
  • Nice to have: background in an open source program office (OSPO) or as foundation staff or program manager, and experience presenting or publishing at open source or scientific computing conferences such as PyTorch Conference, SciPy, PyCon, JuliaCon or RustConf.
