The company makes an intelligent content management platform that helps organizations collaborate, manage content from creation to deletion, secure sensitive files, and run business workflows with enterprise AI.

Founded in 2005, the company has its main office in Redwood City, California, and further offices in the US, Europe and Asia.

The platform holds billions of files that move between teams every day, including contracts, invoices, HR records, financial reports, product specs and marketing material.

The security add-on is a layer that guards information flow and cuts content-related risk without slowing users down. It applies classification-based controls to stop data loss and uses AI-driven, context-aware alerts to spot malware, compromised accounts and malicious activity at scale.

The team is hiring machine learning engineers to build and scale ML systems that protect millions of users and billions of files from ransomware, data exfiltration, insider threats and new AI-based attacks. You will join the backend and core team and work with other groups to ship security features for high-demand use cases.

Day to day you will work with Python, Scala and Java; Apache Spark, Vertex AI, BigQuery, TensorFlow or PyTorch; GCP and Kubernetes. Domains include user behavior analytics, time-series anomaly detection, AI security, content classification and ransomware detection.

Responsibilities

• Design, train and deploy models that detect ransomware, flag suspicious sessions and analyze user behavior.
• Own end-to-end ML pipelines that handle high-volume security event streams, built on Apache Spark, GCP Dataflow and Vertex AI.
• Build and maintain feature stores that feed real-time and batch anomaly detection.
• Ship, monitor and improve models running in production for enterprise customers at scale.
• Work with Platform, Application Engineering and Product to turn security needs into ML solutions.
• Join the on-call rotation and help respond to and triage production issues, staying available at all times while on call.

Requirements

• Use AI tools with a growth mindset to make faster, smarter decisions and multiply your impact 10X, since the company is AI-first.
• Bring at least 3 years of applied machine learning experience.
• Be strong in Python programming.
• Have deployed and maintained models that serve live traffic.
• Have hands-on experience with GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow) or equivalents such as AWS SageMaker or Azure ML.
• Have deep knowledge of feature engineering, model evaluation and MLOps.
• Explain complex ML concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Have experience in security or threat detection, anomaly detection, or fraud detection.
• Have experience with sequential data, anomaly detection or behavioral modeling, such as time-series forecasting, LSTMs, Transformers or similar.
• Know LLMs and AI safety topics such as prompt injection, guardrails and red-teaming.
• Have experience with streaming or real-time ML systems.
• Be familiar with Java for service integrations.
• Have publications or contributions in ML security.

Conditions

Work from your assigned office at least 3 days per week.
