Description

You will join the team behind the company's AI and ML services, which help businesses connect, protect, analyze and act on data and applications from edge to cloud.

The team builds cloud-based solutions for critical applications, taking them from prototype through to production, and looks for new approaches to customer problems.

You will work with project managers and development partners, and bring domain know-how to new service offerings across systems, platforms and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll out AI/ML solutions that fit business needs.
  • Partner with domain experts to frame machine learning problems in wireless and wired network diagnostics, root-cause analysis, remediation and optimization.
  • Design, build and validate machine learning algorithms that run on big data.
  • Oversee the rollout of finished machine learning solutions and track how they perform once live.
  • Apply Agentic AI to networking problems.
  • Find and debug code and integration issues in application architecture, then build the fixes.
  • Write and execute test plans that cover performance, scale, usability and security.
  • Ship AI/ML systems and application code through continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Help bring new technologies into projects.
  • Analyze data from science, engineering, business and other fields to solve complex application, system administration and networking problems.

Requirements

  • Be working toward a Bachelor's and/or Master's or PhD in computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, statistics or a related field; Master's candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Understand how software systems are designed.
  • Code well in Python, including PySpark and Scikit-learn, and follow software engineering best practices.
  • Have a basic grasp of object-oriented programming.
  • Have a solid grounding in statistical and machine learning methods such as anomaly detection, clustering and ranking of events, time series analysis, event stream mining, hypothesis testing, causal inference and deep learning.
  • Explain concepts and results clearly, with strong data visualization skills.
  • Have relevant industry experience in data science and machine learning.
  • Bring experience with online learning algorithms, reinforcement learning, semi-supervised learning or mixed time-series and event streams.
  • Be familiar with GenAI and large language models (LLMs); Agentic AI is a plus.

Conditions

This is a hybrid role, with an average of 2 days per week in a company office.

The base pay range for California is USD 35.00 to 41.00 per hour; variable incentives may also be offered.

Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, education, training and skill level.

The company is an equal opportunity employer that decides on qualifications, merit and business need, and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
