Linux Intern

Description

The company builds software for automotive, aerospace and defense, energy, industrial, medical and telecom systems. This internship places you on an engineering team that works on Linux and operating systems.

You will be a student who wants to build technical skills and get hands-on time with Linux and embedded development tools.

Responsibilities

• Help the engineering team with Linux and operating system work.
• Work hands-on in Linux-based development environments.
• Take part in technical tasks tied to embedded development.
• Build your understanding of operating system concepts and Linux tools.
• Work alongside the engineering team in a live development setting.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a relevant technical degree.
• Show a strong academic record.
• Have a real interest in Linux and operating systems.
• Have a real interest in embedded development.
• A plus, but not required: prior experience with Linux or operating systems.
• A plus, but not required: familiarity with containers and Docker.
• A plus, but not required: familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Be keen to keep growing your technical skills in Linux and operating systems.

Conditions

Pay is $4,000 to $5,000 CAD per month, set through interviews and a review of your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location and abilities, and in line with pay for other team members.
