Junior Application Developer

Description

This intermediate-level role sits in the Applications Development job family within Technology and centres on Agentic AI.

You will help plan and build new or updated application systems and programs alongside the technology team, supporting systems analysis and programming work.

Responsibilities

• Use your working knowledge of development methods and concepts, plus a basic grasp of adjacent technical areas, to pinpoint and specify system upgrades, including scripting tools and reading and interpreting code.
• Talk with users, clients and other technology groups about issues, propose programming fixes, and install and maintain client-facing systems.
• Apply core programming language knowledge to work from design specifications.
• Review applications for weaknesses and security flaws, and carry out testing and debugging.
• Mentor newer or junior analysts.
• Break down problems, weigh the information, and make reasoned calls to recommend and carry out fixes.
• Choose solutions based on your technical background and past precedent.
• Work with limited direct supervision, using your own judgment and autonomy.
• Act as the subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
• Weigh risk in business decisions with the firm's reputation, clients and assets in mind. Follow applicable laws, rules, regulations and policy, use sound ethical judgment, and escalate and report control issues openly.
• Manage day-to-day work with your own judgment, including complex situations and priorities. You own delivery, including quality and timelines, and your work may affect business results in your area. Review others' outputs, guide approach where needed, and close gaps to meet standards.
• Turn direction from leadership into concrete steps and follow through. Handle unusual situations and shifting priorities within your scope, keeping processes consistent and outputs up to standard.
• Apply domain knowledge and analysis to requirements, form sound views, and recommend practical solutions, adapting standard methods when needed.
• Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Agentic or Generative AI.
• Intermediate experience in applications development.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
• A bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.

Conditions

Full-time position.

Based in Tampa, Florida, United States.

Primary location full-time salary range: $76,560.00 to $106,840.00.
