JavaScript Software Developer II

Description

The company was founded in 2004 and makes adult entertainment and games for popular platforms on the internet. Its international team works under strict trust and safety rules.

You would join a team building a high-traffic, real-time video product for streamers and viewers, on desktop and mobile. You would work on front-end features from design review through release.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain React features for streamer and viewer experiences.
• Handle application state with Redux Toolkit.
• Work on live video and real-time communication features.
• Keep a multi-target Webpack build running.
• Maintain high performance for a site with millions of visits per day.
• Review code, including AI-generated code, and suggest improvements.
• Study current processes and propose practical fixes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional JavaScript (ES6+) and 2+ years of React.
• Hands-on use of a state management library such as Redux.
• Production experience with WebSockets, WebRTC or other real-time communication.
• Experience with a modern build tool such as Webpack, Vite or Rollup.
• Strong HTML and CSS, including SCSS or CSS Modules, and responsive design.
• Solid software design skills, with code organised around clear abstractions.
• Working knowledge of Git and merge request workflows.
• Strong written and spoken English, plus good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to handle shifting technical priorities and work well in a team.
• Experience on a large, high-traffic website.

Conditions

Hybrid work model across offices in Montreal (Quebec), Austin (Texas) and Nicosia (Cyprus), with remote team members also contributing.

A select number of positions require full-time attendance in the office.
