Description

The company builds infrastructure that runs CI workloads quickly. Its first product helps teams run GitHub Actions faster and for less by operating its own global fleet of bare-metal machines instead of renting generic cloud VMs.

The company orchestrates tens of millions of Firecracker VMs each week, runs CI for more than 10,000 companies, and has tens of millions in ARR. It grew 20x in 2026 so far.

It runs thousands of bare-metal machines across several regions, often schedules more than 300k vCPUs at once, and manages a petabyte-scale Ceph cluster itself.

The company has raised $125M from Seed through Series C. Sequoia, Google Ventures (GV) and Peak XV Partners led the rounds. The team is deliberately small and selective.

The founders have deep systems and scaling experience, including search and ads infrastructure at Faire and large distributed systems at Cockroach Labs. Go-to-market is led by Jon Boyer, formerly Head of Sales at Zapier.

The company is now extending this CI infrastructure into a wider platform that runs agent sandboxes at scale and includes its own background coding agent.

This is the company's first IT Operations Engineer role. You will own the systems and workflows employees depend on, shaping how IT runs from onboarding and device management to identity, access and daily support.

Responsibilities

  • Own onboarding, role changes and offboarding from start to finish, covering device procurement, setup and recovery, account provisioning and prompt access removal.
  • Resolve employee problems across hardware, software, networking and accounts. Turn repeated issues into reliable self-service or automated workflows.
  • Run and improve identity and access management so employees get the access they need, and no more.
  • Manage the employee device fleet, including automated enrollment, patching, disk encryption and inventory.
  • Handle software administration, licenses and renewals, tracking the tools in use and who can access them.
  • Work with business teams to build and maintain internal apps and integrations that make their work easier.
  • Work with security and engineering on endpoint security, access controls and audit readiness. Maintain clear employee guides and operational runbooks.
  • Work hands-on with broad ownership: solve problems for teammates, automate recurring tasks and build processes that grow with the company.

Requirements

  • Troubleshoot resourcefully, working through unfamiliar problems with documentation, investigation and vendor support, and keep at it until solved.
  • Enjoy helping people, with the patience and communication to support both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Have a record of spotting problems early and driving them to resolution without waiting to be told, dealing with root causes while balancing competing priorities.
  • Have hands-on experience administering Okta and Google Workspace, with a solid grasp of SSO, MFA, SCIM provisioning and least-privilege access.
  • Have managed a macOS fleet with Addigy or another MDM such as Jamf or Kandji, including automated enrollment through Apple Business Manager.
  • Understand networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Have run employee onboarding, offboarding and IT support in a growing organization.
  • Automate repetitive work with scripting, APIs or workflow tools.
  • Are comfortable using coding agents to build and debug internal tools, integrations and automation, reviewing their changes and checking results.
  • Nice to have: have built or scaled an IT function, or led migrations, tool rollouts or process redesigns in a growing organization.
  • Nice to have: have supported security or compliance work such as SOC 2, endpoint security or incident response.
  • Nice to have: have managed identity or other IT systems through infrastructure as code.
  • Nice to have: have built internal applications or tools for business teams, turning their needs into practical, maintainable solutions.
