The job sits in the technology group, within the business analysis and client services job family.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document requirements with business owners, engineers and subject matter experts for fraud technology work.

  • Review how current processes run, find weak spots, and propose changes that make fraud prevention, detection and daily operations stronger.
  • Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional requirements documents, process maps and workflow diagrams.
  • Write and refine Jira epics, features and user stories with agile delivery teams.
  • Check requirements, review test cases and support user acceptance testing so solutions meet business needs.
  • Carry out data analysis and data mapping for system changes, integrations and fraud monitoring.
  • Work with risk, compliance and audit partners to confirm solutions follow policy and regulation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a business analyst, systems analyst, technology analyst or in a similar role.
  • Experience in fraud operations, fraud technology, financial crimes, AML, payments, risk or compliance within financial services.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving, including gathering and mapping business and functional requirements, process flows and data.
  • Hands-on agile delivery work using Jira and Confluence.
  • Able to explain information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of juggling several priorities across cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; a Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, management information systems, finance, business analytics or a related field, and/or relevant experience.
  • Beneficial: experience supporting fraud detection, transaction monitoring, payment risk, AML or financial crimes technology solutions.
  • Beneficial: familiarity with API integrations and tools such as Postman or Swagger.
  • Beneficial: experience with reporting, data analysis and business intelligence tools.
  • Beneficial: knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for financial services.
  • Beneficial: exposure to AI-enabled tools and analytics used in business and technology settings.
