Description

About Pocket

At Pocket, we’re building the future of human memory.

Some of the most valuable information in our lives disappears when a conversation ends: an idea, a decision, a detail we wish we could remember. Pocket helps us hold onto it.

We’ve built an AI-powered device that captures real-world conversations and turns them into searchable transcripts, summaries and next steps. Backed by Accel and Y Combinator (W26), we’ve already sold 500,000 devices.

Our ambition goes beyond recording. We believe the things you learn, discuss and experience can become useful context for the AI tools you already use, and for products that don’t exist yet.

About the Role

A great recording is only the start. The harder question is what someone can do with it: remember a decision, find an idea, act on a conversation or give their AI tools the context they’re missing.

You’ll own Pocket’s product experience across hardware, mobile, desktop, AI features and integrations. Working directly with the founders, you’ll decide which problems matter, turn them into products and stay close enough to customers to know whether they work. This is a hands-on product leadership role, not a layer between the team and the work.

What You’ll Own

The customer journey from device setup and activation to everyday use, retention and monetization.

Product strategy, roadmap and prioritization, grounded in customer feedback and clear success measures.

AI experiences that make captured conversations useful: personal memory, summaries, actions and contextual assistance.

Integrations with the tools people already use, including APIs, MCP and agent workflows where they solve a real problem.

Delivery with engineering, design, growth and operations, from early experiments through launch and iteration.

Product quality, including the details that make a device and its software feel like one experience. Privacy and user trust are part of that work.

Requirements

  • Consumer products you have shipped and improved, with evidence that people use and value them.
  • Strong judgment about design and user experience, backed by close attention to customer behavior and data.
  • Hands-on curiosity about AI: you try new models and tools and can distinguish a compelling demo from a useful product.
  • The ability to make difficult tradeoffs, challenge assumptions and bring engineers and designers with you.
  • Comfort setting a long-term direction while staying involved in day-to-day execution.
  • Bonus Points
  • You have taken a product from zero to one and then scaled it; worked across hardware and software; built with LLMs, agents or developer ecosystems; founded a company; or led product early at a consumer technology or AI company.

Benefits

  • Your work will reach people who already own the product. You’ll work directly with the founders and shape the experience across physical hardware and software, rather than optimizing one small part of it. There is a real customer base to learn from and important product decisions still to make.
