Description

The company builds automated software engineering tools that customers can trust. It limits AI to tasks it handles reliably, checks every step independently of the model using formal methods, and keeps engineers involved in key decisions, producing code with auditable proof of correctness.

Customers including the U.S. Air Force, L3Harris, RTX, and Toshiba use its platform to modernize legacy code, tune performance on real hardware, and move prototypes into production quickly.

Founded in 2023, the company has offices in Boston and San Francisco and is backed by Accel, Salesforce Ventures, B Capital, Smith Point Capital, J2 Ventures, Shield Capital, Overmatch, RTX, and others.

Forward-deployed engineers solve hard problems inside secure customer programs and build tools and patterns along the way. This role turns those field innovations into products that customer engineers can use on their own.

You will report to the SVP, Head of Product. It is a hands-on building role: you set the strategy, build the team, and ship the first version with them. The aim is to remove noise and custom work so engineers can focus on problems only they can solve.

Within 6 months, the goal is one instrumented internal FDE tooling release used daily, a working path for improvements from secure environments to the core product, a measurable drop in custom code per project, new hires onboarded and shipping, 3, 5 commercial, enterprise, and government design partners using the tools self-service, and a first commercial release with adoption and value metrics in place.

Responsibilities

  • Own the developer experience where engineers build, translate, verify, and review agent work, setting its strategy and roadmap and iterating on the interfaces directly.
  • Treat forward-deployed engineers as the first customers. Standardize their tools and pipelines, find repeatable patterns, and decide which become commercial products and which stay custom.
  • Turn proven field workflows into interfaces, templates, skills, and guided flows so the same inputs produce the same results for anyone who runs them.
  • Build a dependable route for bringing product improvements back from air-gapped and secure deployments.
  • Put lifecycle artifacts and auditable proof into the review workflow, and let customers encode their own standards so engineers can trust and defend the output.
  • Test with 3, 5 commercial engineering teams first, before a wide release, and set up the adoption and ROI metrics leaders use to justify and expand spending.
  • Create demos, videos, and presentations, and work with Sales and Growth on packaging, positioning, and launches.
  • Help hire the growing product team, and lead and mentor PMs and designers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product, technical consulting, or solutions leadership and management.
  • A record of building tools that speed up delivery teams and turning services work into repeatable commercial products.
  • P&L or revenue ownership for a product line.
  • Hands-on depth in agentic developer tools and AI-assisted software delivery, including leading enterprise adoption of them.
  • A record of cutting through complexity to find simple, elegant product solutions.
  • Judgment to tell a one-off customer request from a repeatable product need, and the discipline to say no.
  • Ability to learn deep technical domains quickly and earn the trust of engineers and technical founders.
  • Strong writing and presenting skills, able to make complex technical ideas clear to executives, engineers, and customers.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance if required.
  • Preferred: consulting or professional services background, especially building products alongside delivery teams.
  • Preferred: experience building products for developers, engineers, or other highly technical users.
  • Preferred: exposure to government, defense, or other regulated environments.
  • Preferred: a public body of work on AI adoption, agentic engineering, or software strategy.
  • Preferred: experience mentoring product managers and building teams from scratch.
