Responsibilities

  • We are hiring a Head of Content with an editor's judgment and a producer's instinct. You can hear a customer describe a problem, spot the idea inside it, and make something a finance leader would forward with "you should see this." You will set the company's editorial direction and write, edit, and produce the work yourself.
  • You will develop the ideas and recurring formats that become recognizably the company. A report needs a finding or argument worth someone's time. A series needs a reason for them to come back. You notice the small changes in a question, headline, edit, or format that make the work better, and you can invent something new when the familiar approach has run its course.
  • There is room to create our signature show, customer-led series, live conversation, or a format we have not thought of yet. You will decide what the audience needs, test the idea, and build on the response. You will report to the Head of Marketing and work with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and customer teams. This is a hands-on functional leadership role, initially supported by specialist agencies and freelancers.
  • Find original angles in customer conversations, sales calls, product knowledge, and research. Develop a clear editorial point of view for CFOs and order-to-cash leaders.
  • Create and test a signature recurring format for the company. Define the premise, the audience, the host or voices, the length, and the reason someone would choose the next installment.
  • Make reports, thought leadership, and practical buyer resources earn their place. Improve the finding, argument, structure, presentation, and distribution until there is a clear reason to read and share them.
  • Write and edit important pieces yourself, from a substantial reported story to an executive post. Give each contributor a distinct, credible voice and hold a high standard for every claim.
  • Bring customers into the work as people with experience and opinions. Develop interviews, stories, and community-led conversations with the Experiences Lead and customer relationship owners.
  • Plan how each idea reaches its audience before production. Work with Demand Generation, Partner Marketing, and executive channels on distribution and the next useful step for an interested buyer.
  • Direct specialist writers, designers, producers, and existing SEO and AEO partners. Own briefs, editorial decisions, the calendar, and the final quality of the work.
  • Use buyer feedback, return engagement, sharing, and qualified conversations to improve the program. Make clear decisions about what to continue, change, or stop.
  • You might be a fit if you
  • Have six or more years in content, editorial, journalism, or a related role, and can lead a program while remaining an excellent writer and editor.
  • Have work that shows an original idea, distinctive treatment, or memorable recurring format. Can explain the choices that made it better and what the intended audience did with it.
  • Can interview a skeptical expert, find the interesting question, and explain a complex financial or operational problem clearly. Experience with enterprise finance buyers is valuable.
  • Have strong editorial taste and can make it practical: a sharper opening, a better interview question, a useful visual, a tighter edit, or a more effective way to reach the audience.
  • Can work responsibly with data and customer stories, checking the method, the claim, and the permissions before publication.
  • Have built distribution with marketing and sales, directed creative specialists, and shipped work with limited resources. Use AI tools to improve research and production while owning the judgment and final result.
  • This probably is not a fit if
  • You want to spend most of your time delegating to an established writing team.
  • You prefer a fixed format and a publishing quota to developing an editorial point of view and testing whether an audience cares.

Conditions

We take big swings, measure the commercial result and learn quickly. This is a hands-on team: you will set direction and produce the work. We expect you to use AI tools to research, draft and move faster while checking facts, protecting customer information and maintaining a high standard for everything we publish.
