Description

The company is a global infrastructure consultancy. Its specialist fire engineering team works with building scientists and engineers to design buildings that are sustainable, cost-effective and perform well in operation.

You will help shape fire safety from the earliest design stages. Working in multidisciplinary teams, you will show architects, structural engineers and other specialists how their decisions affect the fire strategy and overall building performance.

Projects may involve detailed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies, smoke movement and smoke layer calculations, evacuation modelling and other fire engineering tools.

Recent team work includes a fire strategy for a 180m mixed-use residential tower in Canary Wharf, London; evacuation strategy and CFD smoke modelling for an event and exhibition centre in Southport; a fire strategy for a surgery centre in Eastbourne; and retrospective fire strategies for two outlet sites in York and Bridgend.

The company offers structured training, mentorship and support towards professional registration, with exposure to commercial, residential and major international projects through a global fire engineering network. It is a Fortune 500 firm with Professional Services revenue of $16.1 billion in fiscal year 2025, and it employs over 50,000 people worldwide.
