Description

The company designs advanced semiconductors and data center hardware for AI computing and is part of SoftBank Group. Its AI Engineering Campus in Austin supports the hardware platforms and technical infrastructure used to build next-generation AI systems.

The Technical Services team keeps the hardware and infrastructure used by engineering teams running. It coordinates work across laboratories, data center environments, internal support functions, and external logistics providers.

The company is looking for a recent graduate or early-career professional to join Technical Services as a Graduate Engineer, Technical Supply Chain Coordinator. The role coordinates the movement, tracking, and lifecycle management of hardware assets in engineering labs and data centers.

You will work with engineers and operational partners to make sure hardware is received, tracked, moved, deployed, returned, and retired accurately. The role offers wide exposure to asset management, logistics, customs, reporting, and continuous improvement.

You will work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities, IT, Trade Compliance, and logistics partners to keep inventory accurate, material moving reliably, and operational records clear across the research and development infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily hardware asset work: receiving, inventory tracking, deployment, transfers between sites, returns, and retirement.
  • Keep asset, inventory, and material-tracking records accurate, and help resolve gaps between system data and physical stock.
  • Support inventory planning, reconciliations, cycle counts, and on-site spare stock so operations stay ready.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international logistics, from shipping and receiving through staging, processing, and delivery confirmation.
  • Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities, IT, Trade Compliance, and logistics providers to get hardware moved on time.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and customs paperwork that meets U.S. Customs and Border Protection rules, Incoterms, and company import and export processes.
  • Write and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, inventory records, and audit documents.
  • Monitor inventory health, asset utilization, shipment status, and logistics performance through reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Look into inventory, receiving, shipping, and chain-of-custody problems, record what you find, and help put fixes in place.
  • Suggest practical process changes that improve record accuracy, traceability, and consistency, following security and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, supply chain management, operations, business, information systems, or a related field, completed recently or due before the role starts.
  • Foundational knowledge of inventory control, asset tracking, shipping and receiving, logistics, or supply chain operations, gained through coursework, internships, research, jobs, or projects.
  • Careful attention to detail, with the ability to keep accurate records, follow defined processes, and juggle several priorities.
  • An analytical mindset for reconciling data, tracing discrepancies, and finding the root cause of operational issues.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets to organize data, run basic analysis, and produce clear reports or metrics.
  • Clear written and spoken communication, and the ability to work well with both technical and operational teams.
  • Willingness to learn enterprise systems, logistics processes, customs requirements, and hardware lifecycle practices.
  • Nice to have: internship, project, or work experience in hardware operations, asset management, inventory, logistics, supply chain, engineering labs, data centers, or manufacturing.
  • Nice to have: experience with an asset or inventory platform such as ServiceNow, Odoo, NetBox, or a similar system.
  • Nice to have: experience with Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar reporting and dashboard tools.
  • Nice to have: exposure to domestic or international shipments, reverse logistics, return merchandise authorizations, third-party logistics providers, U.S. customs documentation, Incoterms, export controls, or hardware chain-of-custody practices.
  • Nice to have: coursework or certification in project management, Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or supply chain operations.

Conditions

The posting does not specify hours, contract type, work location, or work model beyond the role being based at the Technical Services team's operations.
