Description

The company makes medical technology and has more than 72,000 staff in over 70 countries. This remote role sits in the global marketing organization and covers the Atellica infectious disease assays, which are part of the core laboratory solutions portfolio.

You will shape the strategy and commercial path for these assays, linking customer and clinical needs to product development and helping regional teams launch and sustain adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Set the global strategy for assigned Atellica infectious disease assays across opportunity assessment, product definition, launch, growth and lifecycle management, and recommend priorities, investment and product improvements based on market size, customer needs, competitors and portfolio results.
  • Learn how laboratories, health systems and other stakeholders handle infectious disease testing, gather customer and regional feedback, and turn unmet needs into product requirements, market opportunities and clear value propositions.
  • Work with R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality and regional teams on product requirements, evidence, claims and launch plans, bringing the market and customer view to development decisions and helping resolve trade-offs that affect customer value and sales.
  • Lead global positioning, messaging and launch readiness for assigned assays, and create customer content, sales tools, training and campaigns that regional teams can adapt. Align assays, analyzers, automation and informatics into one integrated offer.
  • Track competitor portfolios, testing practices and market trends, write practical competitive selling guidance, support pricing and value discussions, and monitor launch performance, adoption and feedback to refine plans and find growth.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressively senior marketing, product management or commercial work in in-vitro diagnostics, laboratory medicine or a closely related diagnostics field.
  • Experience contributing to portfolio strategy, product development, global or regional launches and post-launch growth.
  • Skill in turning complex clinical and technical information into clear customer value and useful commercial tools.
  • A proven record of leading cross-functional work and influencing stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Nice to have: experience with infectious disease assays, immunoassays or core laboratory diagnostics.
  • Nice to have: experience building market assessments, business cases, pricing recommendations or product forecasts.
  • Nice to have: global or international marketing experience working with regional commercial teams.
  • Nice to have: an MBA or advanced degree in business, life sciences or a related field.
  • You are customer-focused, using laboratory and clinical needs to guide action.
  • You analyze market, customer, competitor and performance data to make sound recommendations.
  • You build alignment across technical, clinical and commercial teams.
  • You explain complex information in ways that suit audiences from different backgrounds.
  • You set priorities, handle competing demands and follow through on commitments.
