Description

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a seasoned marketing analytics leader who is both a creative problem-solver and a rigorous operator. This person will help marketers and business partners understand what drives marketing performance, what success looks like and where we can make better decisions with our budgets across businesses.

The right leader knows how to work with data and technology teams to make reliable information easier to access and use. They can turn that data into practical insights—spotting trends and behaviors, finding opportunities to improve performance, and building a strong test-and-learn culture. They will also help us reimagine marketing analytics for the AI era, using automation and AI-enabled insights to shorten the path from a question to a decision and to improve how campaigns are planned, run and optimized.

This role calls for strong business judgment, clear communication and the ability to build trusted relationships across Marketing, the businesses, Technology, Enterprise Data & AI, Finance, Operations, Risk, Legal and Compliance. Financial services experience is important, along with a practical understanding of marketing analytics in complex B2B and B2B2C models where point-of-sale data may be limited or unavailable. The role reports to the Head of Digital Strategy & Channel Performance, Senior Vice President, and leads marketing analytics, measurement and insights across the organization.

Why This Role Matters

Better intelligence and insights should lead to better marketing decisions. This leader will give teams a clear view of what is working, what is not and why. Their work will help us understand our audiences and clients, improve campaigns and channels, make smarter investment choices and show how Marketing contributes to business results. They will build a more consistent, trusted and useful analytics capability—and an open, growth-minded culture that connects analysis to action. As a coach and advocate, they will raise our maturity through practical steps, creative problem-solving and visible progress rather than waiting for perfect data, major new infrastructure or ideal conditions. They will also help us use AI to move faster and leapfrog traditional stages of analytics maturity, while applying sound judgment and appropriate controls.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Set the Direction

Set a clear vision and practical roadmap for marketing data, analytics, measurement and insights.

Start with the business questions that matter most, then focus the team on the work that can improve decisions and results.

Define a practical AI agenda for marketing analytics, prioritizing a small number of high-value use cases that can demonstrate impact, build confidence and scale over time.

Bring an informed external view of new measurement practices, data capabilities and AI tools, and apply them where they add real value.

Make Performance Clear

Create a simple, shared set of measures across brand, reputation, audience engagement, client journeys, campaigns, channels, pipeline and business outcomes.

Set a high bar for data visualization so complex findings become clear, compelling stories that help people decide and act.

Guide the design and automation of dashboards for distinct audiences—from senior executives reviewing enterprise performance to marketers making in-flight campaign decisions.

Build self-service reporting and timely alerts that give teams useful answers without adding unnecessary manual work.

Match the measurement approach and level of detail to the decision—whether we are setting strategy, reviewing investment or improving work already in market.

Improve Marketing Performance

Build a disciplined test-and-learn approach using attribution, incrementality, experiments, benchmarks and other fit-for-purpose methods.

Turn analysis into specific recommendations for campaigns, channels, content, audiences and investment.

Work closely with marketers and business partners to identify opportunities, test ideas and improve reach, engagement, conversion and efficiency.

Understand Audiences, Clients and Markets

Bring together behavioral, digital, client relationship, sales, product, research and market data to build a fuller picture of our audiences and clients.

Identify meaningful segments, behaviors and patterns that can make our marketing more relevant and effective.

Surface trends, emerging needs and growth opportunities early enough to shape marketing and business plans.

Strengthen Data and Technology Foundations

Partner with data, technology and operations teams to make the right marketing data reliable, connected and easier to access.

Define clear business requirements for data, semantic models, dashboards and marketing technology, making the most of current tools before adding new ones.

Modernize reporting through reusable data products, automation and AI-assisted insight generation, reducing manual effort and improving speed.

Put practical standards in place so teams can trust the data, understand how measures are defined and use them consistently.

Lead the Team and How We Work

Be accountable for marketing analytics, measurement and insights, with clear priorities, roles and ways of working.

Build shared methods, tools and standards that raise the quality and speed of the work.

Hire, coach and develop a strong global team that combines curiosity, analytical rigor, business judgment and collaboration.

Governance, Risk & Responsible Innovation

Work with Privacy, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Information Security from the start so data use, measurement, performance claims and AI-enabled analytics meet our standards.

Build documentation, testing and clear ownership into the work without creating unnecessary complexity.

Use advanced analytics and AI responsibly, with appropriate review, monitoring and human judgment.

Create room for controlled pilots and rapid learning so promising ideas can be tested, improved and scaled without lowering the bar for trust or governance.

Build Strong Partnerships

Be a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Marketing and the businesses, bringing evidence and a clear point of view to important decisions.

Bring Marketing, Finance, Sales and Distribution, Technology, Operations and control partners together around shared questions and priorities.

Manage key data, analytics, technology and vendor relationships with a focus on impact, quality and value.

Requirements

  • Required
  • 12+ years of experience in marketing analytics, measurement, data strategy, audience insights or a related field, including experience leading teams and building capabilities.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry, with a practical understanding of privacy, risk and controls.
  • A strong record of solving business and marketing problems with data, not simply producing reports.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing measurement, including key performance measures, attribution, incrementality, experimentation, benchmarking and optimization.
  • Experience using customer, behavioral and market data to identify trends, explain performance and improve marketing decisions.
  • A track record of partnering with data engineering, data science, technology and operations teams to improve data access, quality, integration and reporting.
  • Experience setting visualization standards and delivering automated, self-service dashboards for executive, strategic and campaign-level audiences.
  • The ability to turn complex analysis into clear stories, recommendations and choices for senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience building or transforming an analytics, measurement or insights function and developing strong, globally distributed teams.
  • A collaborative leadership style, sound business judgment and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Experience applying advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to automate insight, support decisions and improve marketing performance.
