Galileo Ground Segment Deployment Engineer

Description

The company is adding a System Operability, Maintainability and Operations Preparations Engineer to its Galileo Service Team, which delivers services to a customer based in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich.

The role suits someone with project management experience who wants to take on more ownership.

Responsibilities

• Review operations feedback and turn it into operability and maintainability requirements for system changes.
• Take the operator's view in design and development reviews such as CDR, QR and SDQR, so systems under development can be operated and maintained, and help write operations and maintenance documents within integrated system development teams.
• Help define, check and carry out the operational handover for system changes, working within integrated system development teams.

Requirements

• Essential: an engineering degree in aerospace, ideally a Master's.
• Essential: hands-on operations experience in GCC-D or GSOC.
• Essential: experience in project management, ideally holding a PMP certification.
• Essential: fluent spoken and written English.
• Desirable: proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Desirable: quick to learn and able to work with little or no supervision.
• Desirable: clear communication and a strong team player.
• Desirable: able to set priorities across several parallel activities.
• Desirable: good at solving problems.

Conditions

Location: Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany (GCC-D), with an additional location in Prague, Czech Republic.

Work model: listed under hybrid working, but the role is onsite.

Contract: permanent employee position.

Seniority level: expert.
