Description

The company runs a global software testing business built on a network of freelancers, who test apps for clients around the world.

It is recruiting freelance testers in Germany and the Netherlands for a moderated usability study run for a global financial technology client.

The ideal participant regularly sends money to India and has used money transfer apps to pay people or Indian bank accounts.

Feedback from the study will guide improvements to the client's app, which thousands of customers use.

Responsibilities

  • Answer questions about how you currently send money from your country to India, including the services and methods you usually choose.
  • Make a real transfer of about $20 in the app under test.
  • Talk through your thoughts as you go, covering what feels clear or unclear, what you expect at each step, and your overall impression.

Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be physically located in Germany or the Netherlands, and you may not use a VPN.
  • You must be comfortable speaking English.
  • Knowledge of German and Dutch is ideal but not required.
  • You need to set aside 1.5 hours for the session.
  • You need a laptop or PC and an iPhone or Android phone.
  • You must have sent money digitally to people in India or to Indian bank accounts.
  • You must never have used the money transfer app being tested.

Conditions

This is a one-time moderated usability study, not a recurring project.

You meet one-to-one with a UX researcher from the company at a set time, on a live video call with your camera on, and share your device screen throughout.

The $20 you send goes to a trusted test lead, who returns it to your PayPal account within about one business day.

The session is recorded for research and analysis, and any sensitive personal information is redacted.

Pay is $100 USD, paid through PayPal or Payoneer.

To start, complete the questionnaire. If you meet the requirements, the recruitment team will contact you by email with next steps. If you do not match, you can look at the community page for other projects.

Equal opportunity applies.

Benefits

  • You set your own schedule and can take on other testing runs that interest you.
  • The company is fully remote, so you can work from anywhere with a connection.
  • You will test mobile apps used at global scale and can build your skills and career.
  • You are paid by the hour rather than per bug, so you earn even if you find no bugs.
