Description

The company sells deep research for a business's most consequential decisions, such as checking whether each of the 150 engineers a company lists is really on its team, or whether a remote vendor is who they claim to be. Customers come when a wrong call would be costly.

The role is to build a presence on X and LinkedIn for the company account and for the CEO, so that the right people know the company, remember what it says, and return. The reference point the company gives is what Agent Mail has achieved.

The voice should be sharp, specific, a little funny, restrained, and never claim to know everything.

Success means people quote and share posts unprompted, builders and operators come back, and posts lead to demos, intros, candidates, and investors, with the CEO named among founders worth following.

Responsibilities

  • Own the writing, voice, and judgment for the company account and the CEO's accounts, and turn the CEO's ideas into posts that sound like him.
  • Decide what gets posted, when, and by whom. Launches, customer stories, and team voices support the main accounts.
  • Find out what spreads: test formats, hooks, timing, and distribution, and work out why people share and return. Apply the lessons without repeating a joke until it wears out.
  • Plan launches, product releases, and stunts so they feel like events. Fewer posts people quote beat many they ignore.
  • Turn real customer use cases into short stories covering the problem, the steps taken in the company, and the result. Begin with trust and safety teams, without making every post a sales pitch.
  • Spend time every day in the places your audience gathers, replying, quoting, and joining threads with something worth reading.
  • Help founders and employees find their own voices, ranging from deadpan and cheeky to thoughtful and serious.
  • Track results and use them to improve the next post.

Requirements

  • Show an account people follow, either your own or one a company ran, and be ready to share it.
  • Write quickly and well, and be able to match another person's voice so closely that no one notices. Automation helps, but the role needs taste and judgment from you.
  • Know tech and startup X well enough to tell what is funny, what is cringe, and what is about to become either.
  • Have taste and be able to explain your choices, including when a trend suits the company and when to skip it.
  • Work with experiments and numbers without letting metrics drive every creative call.
  • Handle sensitive topics with care, since the company verifies people and businesses.
  • Bonus: experience ghostwriting for a founder, running launches, or working with creators.
  • Experience: any level, new graduates welcome.
  • Apply by sending a link to your X account or one you helped run. If your part in it is unclear, explain what you owned.
  • Visa: US citizens or holders of a US visa only.
