Description

The company has spent more than 25 years building graphics, PC gaming and accelerated computing technology, and now applies AI to its GPUs, which power computers, robots and self-driving cars.

The Finance AI team is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer who also acts as an AI enablement expert. The role turns AI potential into measurable business results for Finance.

You will sit inside the Finance AI team and work across many Finance functions, data platform teams and applied AI. You will work with finance leaders, subject-matter experts, data scientists, data engineers, DevOps engineers, AI citizen developers, knowledge workers and external vendors to find high-value opportunities, build solutions people trust and help teams change how they work.

This is a hands-on role. You will take an unclear business problem through a working prototype and a production-ready solution to lasting adoption. You will need technical depth, business judgment, program leadership and a real ability to teach, so AI spreads across the Finance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Turn complex finance workflows and vague business problems into clear requirements, technical designs, success measures and delivery plans, and guide the architecture across data, models, APIs, orchestration, UX and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Prototype and productionize AI solutions, including agents, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow automation, analytics and ML applications.
  • Work with data owners and platform teams to integrate structured and unstructured data securely, set access controls and improve data quality and lineage.
  • Lead technically and organizationally complex initiatives from discovery through launch, balancing experimentation against enterprise scale, security, governance and maintainability.
  • Build reusable reference architectures, patterns and enablement assets, and explain recommendations, tradeoffs and results to audiences ranging from finance operators to executives and engineers.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL and Git, plus Databricks or a comparable cloud data and AI platform.
  • Practical experience building and deploying modern AI, including LLMs, prompt and context design, agents, MCPs and evaluations, and connecting applications to structured and unstructured data through APIs.
  • Strong product and program judgment: create clarity from ambiguity, define an MVP, manage dependencies and risk, and deliver in iterations.
  • Working knowledge of responsible AI, privacy, security and governance, and strong communication that teaches technical ideas to nontechnical audiences and drives change across functions without formal authority.
  • 3+ years in computer science, data science or engineering, analytics, automation or applied AI.
  • A BS or MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Nice to have: applied AI, automation or advanced analytics in tax, corporate development, treasury, venture capital, financial services, procurement, audit or related areas.
  • Nice to have: experience designing agentic workflows and securely connecting models to enterprise systems such as SAP, SFDC or Workday.
  • Nice to have: experience building communities of practice and teaching varied technical audiences, using feedback and adoption data to improve enablement.
  • Nice to have: experience in a large, global technology company or another complex, high-growth environment.
  • Nice to have: a collaborative, customer-focused approach and a proven ability to influence across functions without formal authority.
  • Nice to have: curiosity, sound judgment, a habit of learning by experimenting, and high standards for quality and trust.
