Forward Deployed Engineer

Description

The company puts AI and automation systems straight into client operations. You take a deployment from the first workflow review through to go-live, helping operations teams simplify complicated processes with production AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Run customer projects from kickoff to launch, handling both the delivery and the client relationship.
• Chart how work moves through a customer's operations, spot where automation pays off, and clear away process problems or blockers that hold up rollout.
• Turn business rules into agent logic: what the agent does, how it decides, where exceptions go, and what backup plans apply.
• Set up and launch agents inside systems such as ERPs, web portals, spreadsheets, email, and bespoke tools.
• Build integration code, scripts, and prototypes, then find and fix faults and refine agents once they are live.
• Run working sessions with customer stakeholders, shape scope, and tie delivery to outcomes the business can measure.
• Write up reusable deployment patterns and pass workflow findings to product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years in forward-deployed engineering, applied AI, technical consulting, or a similar hands-on delivery role.
• Proof that you have shipped AI or agent systems into live customer environments, carrying work from scoping and build through go-live.
• Hands-on use of LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, evaluations, MCP, APIs, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Integration work in Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.
• Delivery experience with customers beyond presales, demos, or advisory work, plus clear communication and a focus on business impact.
• Based in the UK and able to travel to customer sites across the UK and EU, around 3 days per week during active deployments.
• Useful, though not required: experience in operationally complex sectors such as retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics.

Conditions

Salary of €110,000 to €200,000.

Sponsorship for a visa is not offered.

Remote work within the United Kingdom, with frequent travel to customer sites in the UK and EU.
