Responsibilities

• Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) are the company's engineers in the field. They embed with a customer's team, learn how their business really runs, and ship working software on their systems.
• They scope the problem, build the solution with our platform, and get it into production. What is learned in the field shapes our product roadmap.
• This is a Member of Technical Staff / Engineering role which works directly with the founders and our core engineering team.
• Embed with enterprise customers to understand their workflows, data, and pain points.
• Design and build AI-powered solutions on Salesforce and adjacent business systems.
• Take projects from discovery to production, including integrations, data migration, and deployment.
• Configure and extend the company's platform for each customer's environment.
• Be the trusted technical partner for customer engineering and business stakeholders.
• Run demos, workshops, and technical deep dives with customer teams.
• Turn field insights into product feedback and reusable components for the core team.
• Debug hard production issues across systems you did not build.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, with time spent in customer-facing or consulting work.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce development: Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and the Salesforce data model.
• Solid skills in at least one general-purpose language, such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and enterprise data.
• Comfort working with LLMs and AI tools in real production settings.
• Clear communication with both engineers and business leaders.
• High ownership. You are comfortable with ambiguity and move fast without waiting for direction.
• Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer II or Application Architect.
• Experience at a Salesforce SI, consultancy, or ISV.
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• Experience building agents or LLM workflows (Agentforce, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
• Prior startup experience.
