Description

The role is the team's dedicated FP&A analytics resource, covering requirements from intake to engineering handoff across core FP&A areas.

Today these tasks are split across leads with no dedicated owner. The goal is quicker turnaround, clearer ownership of the GLTD, Revenue, CapEx and HC portfolios, and less rework downstream.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the dedicated FP&A analyst for requirements intake: gather, clarify, document and prioritise business requirements from Finance stakeholders across the GLTD, Revenue, CapEx and HC portfolios.
  • Turn business requirements into structured technical specifications and data model requirements for the onsite senior analyst and the engineering team.
  • Own the handoff to engineering, making sure specifications are complete, clear and validated before development starts, so rework drops.
  • Run data validation, reconciliation and UAT support to confirm that delivered models and reports match business intent and source data.
  • Trace data through existing EDW models to answer stakeholder questions, find discrepancies and document root causes for engineering to fix.
  • Coordinate onsite and offshore teams: manage the requirements backlog, track delivery status, raise gaps or conflicts and keep each handoff on time.
  • Maintain business requirements documents, data dictionaries, test cases and process guides.
  • Spot business needs that AI or ML could address and turn them into actionable requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years in BI analysis, data product analysis or finance analytics support.
  • Working knowledge of FP&A concepts such as the general ledger, revenue recognition, CapEx planning, headcount reporting and cost center hierarchies.
  • Strong SQL for investigating data: querying, tracing and validating across EDW layers. Building pipelines is not expected.
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting them and translating business needs into technical terms.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform from an analyst or consumer viewpoint.
  • Experience using Tableau or a similar BI tool to validate reports and do basic analysis.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including writing precise specs and coordinating across time zones with onsite teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with a structured way of tracking deliverables and handoff checklists.
  • Preferred: familiarity with SAP Finance or ERP data such as GL, AP, AR and cost center structures.
  • Preferred: enough exposure to AI and ML to see where AI-assisted analytics could help FP&A work.
  • Preferred: experience with offshore delivery models and structured SDLC or agile processes.
  • Preferred: knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, mathematics, information systems or business.

Candidates with arrest or conviction records are considered in line with fair chance laws.

Preference goes to qualified candidates who do not live, and do not plan to live, in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina or Tennessee.
