Description

The company makes memory and storage products, and this role sits in its global front end central planning group.

You will build manufacturing and capacity plans that support technology scaling, capital efficiency and high-volume production across the front end network.

You will work with Technology Development, Manufacturing, Engineering and Planning teams to turn complex business and technical problems into plans with measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Build and refine planning models that show equipment, capacity, space and capital needs.
  • Set up decision frameworks that weigh technology needs, cost, risk and manufacturing readiness.
  • Run scenario analyses on manufacturing strategies, technology roadmaps and long-term capacity plans.
  • Spot trends, risks, opportunities and trade-offs that affect business and manufacturing performance.
  • Work with Technology Innovation and Manufacturing teams to improve technology, process and equipment roadmaps.
  • Coordinate project delivery across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Planning, agreeing on requirements, ownership, timelines and deliverables.
  • Weigh capital investment, capacity, manufacturing readiness and technology performance against each other.
  • Raise risks early and offer options when teams cannot agree.
  • Present analysis and recommendations to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Build scalable data analysis, automated processes and decision-support tools using AI, Python, SQL, R, Excel and VBA, with responsible AI use and data security.
  • Grow into a domain expert and technical program lead for your planning areas.
  • Possible focus areas: technology transitions and new-node introductions, machine and operational volume planning, fab space and utility efficiency, capital investment and wafer cost evaluation, and tool utilization, reuse, conversion and throughput.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, science, operations research, applied mathematics or another quantitative field.
  • 2+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, technology development or managing production resources.
  • Experience building quantitative models and data analyses in Excel, Python, SQL or similar tools.
  • Experience contributing to multi-functional projects from planning through execution.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, pick up new technical concepts quickly and adjust to shifting priorities.
  • Preferred: a master's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as engineering, science or a closely related area.
  • Preferred: knowledge of semiconductor production scheduling, front-end manufacturing operations and technology roadmaps.
  • Preferred: experience with technology transfer from development to high-volume manufacturing, equipment and capacity modeling, fab space and utility planning, and CapEx and cost-per-wafer analysis.
  • Preferred: a record of leading multi-functional projects without direct authority over collaborators.
  • Preferred: experience presenting recommendations and arguments to senior leadership.
  • Preferred: advanced skill in Python, SQL, R, AI-enabled analytics, automation and reporting tools.
