Expert Network Operations Engineer (m/f/d)

Description

You will help run the company's global network, which spans LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and data centre environments.

You will work through complex network faults, give advanced technical support, and keep connectivity reliable, secure and fast.

You will also take part in network transformation by making infrastructure changes and connecting new sites, working alongside 3rd level network engineers.

Responsibilities

• Keep enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and data centre networks running by operating and monitoring them
• Investigate and fix problems with network availability, connectivity and performance
• Carry out standard changes on routers, switches, wireless gear, VPN platforms and network access control systems
• Help with upgrades, migrations, planned maintenance and hardware swaps
• Look after network configurations, software versions, backups and technical documentation
• Keep network standards, operating procedures, troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles up to date
• Take on-call shifts and carry out maintenance outside normal business hours when needed

Requirements

• A university degree in computer science, IT, telecommunications, business informatics or a similar field
• A professional networking certification such as CCNA or an equivalent vendor certification
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, F5 or comparable enterprise networking products
• At least 5 years of professional experience in network infrastructure operations
• Experience diagnosing complex network and connectivity faults
• Good written and spoken English
• Willingness to take on-call duty outside regular working hours
