EuroHUB Senior Data Engineer 100% (f/m/d)

Description

The company works in wealth management. This is a 100% senior data engineering role built around SQL, data modelling and work with stakeholders.

You will build reliable, business critical datasets that serve analytics, operations and regulatory reporting.

Python skills and BI tool experience such as Tableau or Power BI are valuable pluses for automation, data preparation and analytics delivery.

Experience in banking or financial environments is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Write and tune complex SQL transformations for analytics, reporting and financial and regulatory needs.
• Work with and extend existing enterprise models such as Data Vault, dimensional, 3NF and domain-driven structures.
• Keep SQL logic fast, easy to maintain and consistent with modelling standards.
• Build data quality checks, validation rules and SQL tests.
• Document code, lineage and metadata so governance stays transparent.
• Help reduce architectural debt and keep the data environment clean and consistent.
• Build and maintain SQL-centric ETL and ELT pipelines.
• Use Python where it helps with automation, API integration or workflow efficiency.
• Set up ingestion for batch, incremental and near real-time data flows.
• Monitor pipelines so they stay observable and run reliably.
• Structure SQL datasets for BI consumption and support data preparation, extract logic and backend performance.
• Help dashboard and report designers with troubleshooting, prototyping and governance.
• Turn requirements from finance, risk, compliance and business teams into solid data solutions.
• Work with data architects to keep designs aligned with modelling standards.
• Help troubleshoot ingestion, modelling and operational processes.
• Contribute to platform evolution, engineering improvements and roadmap work.
• Explain your work clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Work with platform and infrastructure teams to run SQL workloads reliably in production.
• Apply version control, documentation, testing and code quality practices.

Requirements

• Expert-level SQL, including complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience extending established models such as Data Vault, dimensional, SCD and 3NF.
• Track record of building scalable SQL-driven transformations.
• Proven work with structured enterprise data models.
• 5+ years in data engineering or SQL-heavy backend roles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Temenos T24/Transact, Temenos Triple'A or similar core banking platforms.
