Engineering Program Specialist

Description

The company was founded in 2017 and builds networking, telecommunications and consumer products. Its engineers and project leads deliver scalable, mission-critical systems for consumer and business use, and it works with some of the largest technology firms.

This role drives delivery of hardware for consumer electronics and wearables, mostly prototypes and new products. You will work with Technical Program Managers and other cross-functional teams to keep logistics, procurement and allocation running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement and keep Purchase Order records accurate.
• Coordinate requests for hardware allocation and manage how assets are distributed.
• Track budgets, spending and forecasts across several projects.
• Create and update Bills of Material for prototype and new product builds.
• Ship prototype devices to engineering labs and teams for testing and bring-up.
• Work with internal Logistics teams and outside vendors to get shipments out on time.
• Keep track of information for several hardware programs running at once.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups across regions and time zones.

Requirements

• Past work as an Engineering Program Specialist or in a similar consumer electronics role.
• Hands-on hardware development experience, including work with domestic and overseas vendors.
• Proven skill with complex spreadsheets and accounting tools, specifically Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, for procurement and budget tracking.
• Experience running projects with several teams, vendors and stakeholders across time zones.
• Strong data organization, information management and attention to detail.
• Past work improving processes or automating tasks in procurement or logistics.
• Experience managing the lifecycle of consumer electronic hardware.
• Preferred: experience with ERP tools or procurement management systems.
• Preferred: advanced use of collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence or equivalent workflow platforms.
